As much as I love the Gypsy, I cannot understand why JKP, IA, CRPF and every agency out there is unable to find another replacement.



Why not Mahindra Marksman for example? Purpose built OEM built jeep with armour module .... why Gypsy?

As if the Gulf countries would do anything significant than occasionally barking against the Indian bull.
The gulf economies are finished for the foreseeable future. Jobless Indian expats will soon be evacuated, and the gulf countries' leverage over India will consequently reduce. Global economic pain will be bigger than Great depression, and oil will also be depressed for the near future. So, it's the Gulf countries who want to sell what little oil they can to India.

There will be some consequences for that for India too such as the prices of young girls in Hydrabad will drop drastically. The number of mosques and madras would not increase like rain time mushrooms. Jihadi Industry in Pakistan may shrink considerably. Land may become a bit cheaper in Kerala, coastal regions of India etc.

PS: 61000 Americans are dead when Doland was claiming only a week ago that his model said 65000 is the upper limit.. Around 200000 americans are bound to die.. US is in for economic and social turmoil. So, they can shove their USCIRF recommendation up their a** This virus has hit the American homeland harder than any conventional war with China or Russia or an assorted group of countries ever could.

The biggest strategic impact Corona would have on the USA is that Americal geographical aloofness is no defense for Main Land USA. The three-dimensional aloofness was penetrated by 9/11 which succeeded in badly attacking/affecting individual liberty in the USA which they valued the most as compared to any other country. However, Corona has opened another dimension of Warfare against the USA. This is the first time after independence when Americans have been invaded by means other than everything else - land. sea, air, space, missiles, submarines, individual terrorist attacks. The numbers of dead have already surpassed the number of lives lost in the Vietnam War. Soon it might double up..

The USA has had it folks.... and they know it... Trump can zilch about it.

Well JKP & CRPF are replacing old Rakshaks with Scorpio Rakshak Plus.
Army replacing Gypsies with Safari Storme & Rakshak Plus.
So things will take time as these replacements take place in phases. After Pulwama big share of money spent on larger APCs like TATA Mobile Bunker & Ashok Leyland MBPV. Bullet proofing of those sky blue coloured CRPF Trucks is also being done.
IMO Marksman is very expensive replacement for Gypsy & doesn't fall into same category. As of now CRPF's new Marksman and Sherpa vehicles are issued to QATs only.

Because it is the cheapest and still working... Police do not have to or never go off-road and cross country so why do they need powerful and heavy engine vehicles. Most of the time it has to do the shopping and traveling duty for some inspector or IPS officer's wife.

Spare the country please.
