There's always mix random stuff in our Army. It's so difficult to conclude about what they prefer.
Cluster fk sums it up pretty well.

+ there’s one you’re missing bro- the integrated mount on some ACHs like those seen on SF and SG guys.

Only included mounts which are added after. Integrated ones are undoubtedly better than added ones.

IMO it seems like army doesn't trust smaller NVG mounts as they may fall off during ops & usually attached with 2-3 bolts. Bigger mounts hold helmets from 4 sides & help to avoid obvious silhouette of curvy ACH. Provided that it is either covered with camo or painted in dark matte colours.

Missed these ones

Actually these big ones are head NV Mounts. But Army has used them on every helmet in service.

All are derivative of South African CASSPIR vehicles primarily a police vehicle used against land mines. and small arms fire protection. The original vehicle is longish capable of carrying 2+12 soldiers. Now all major heavy vehicle makers are making it. Can save soldiers aginst IED but not Srilanka LTTE type of IED that could blow off a T-72 tank and throw it many hundreds of yards..... Uffff...

How many T-72s did we lose in Sri Lanka during our IPKF days??

Realistically what is Indian army's approach to Terrorist stuck in a house?

I have only seen discussion of aftermath and not the strategy, is there a book where u can read more about this.

One-piece which you watch a thousand times still it is less.... Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ki Jai .... This is the scenario our Braveheart face on LOC every day .....

Imagine how much impact such acts live on soldiers. It imposes caution, anxiety, fear, difficulties in routine, and movements.. it is terrifying...

I have given links of two US publications for one to understand the basic complexities involved in carrying out operations in Urban terrain as Indian publications are restricted and not available on line,

However, understand a few things very clearly =

US Armed Forces will resort to those techniques invariably in an urban locate in some goddamn foreign country and not in some Mexican or Black population ghettos in Neyyork City amongst their own citizens. That is unimaginable. Indian Army operates within its own country amongst their own brothers but against hostile forces. The degree of violence and destructive method prescribed in US publications will be absolutely bare minimum and not like US Army that on the first opportunity a tank will deliver the shells or shots into the building.

Second, the difference is that Indian Urban clusters including in the valley are unplanned growths, houses are jam-packed, entries are restricted, streets are restricted and narrow, buildings are made of all kinds of assorted material. Hence there can not be any singular drill to be followed everywhere like a template.

Third, the Indian Army does not employ mechanized armored forces and air assets in counter-insurgency / counter-terrorist operations. For Infantry type units also, there is a vast difference in resources available and used.

Indian Army CI/CT operations, I assure you, are humanitarian operations. There are no parallels in the world to Indian soldiers when it comes to humanitarian values.
