Today saw at news that a Lt. Colonel was injured today at J&K. What the heck is happening out there? I feel these are planned attacks on the senior officers. May be some mole is there among the RRs or the supporting J&K police forces. Recently a Counter Terror cop was also killed in J&K who was one of the best. The picture doesn't appear to be great.

Death of senior officers so frequently can be hurting the troop's morale.

Jehadi's do not have any way or intelligence to target Colonels.

These senior officers are Battalion level commanders. They are in the field and are fighting the Counter Terror war for us in J&K - and they are pretty much in harm's way on a daily basis.

These officers lead from the front - that is our Army's tradition. And that is why they can die. Be proud of them and dont fret.

03 HM militants killed in Anantnag Sachnews Jammu Kashmir Srinagar, November 23: Three militants of HM outfit were killed in an encounter in Ashmuqam area of Anantnag district this afternoon, police said. Acting on a specific information about the presence of militants in Siligam Ashmuqam area, Police, 3-RR and CRPF cordoned off the area and launched the search operation. Hiding militants opened fire on the joint search party and encounter broke. The encounter ended with the elimination of three militants of HM outfit. The slain militants were identified as Sartaj Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Mohammad Lone resident of Wopzan, Bijbehara, Adil Ahmad Sheikh son of Fayaz Ahmad resident of Sheikh Mohalla, Bijbehara and Tanveer Ahamd Bhat son of Mubarak Ahmad Bhat resident of Baba Mohalla Bijbehara. Aadil Sheikh was involved in the killing of a policeman Arif Nazir Khan of Police Station Bijbehara on 16th June this year, police said in a press statement. Tanveer was involved in the killing of a civilian Javid Ahamd Sofi @ Waza son of Mohammad Ismail resident of Bijbehara. Javid was killed by militants on 22-03-2015 at New Colony Bijbehara. 03 AK-47 riffles, 06 magazines, 01UBGL, 03 UBGL Grenade, 01 pistol with magazine were recovered from the encounter site, police said.

Sir this morning Isaw a truck coming out of NSTL ( Naval Science Tech. Lab.--- vizag) gate.
That truck was carrying cylindrical tubes( must be torpedoes inside).That truck is left hand drive.
I think you understood.Vehicles in india have steering on right but it has on left. It is from ashok leyland.
May I know the purpose of left hand driving for heavy vehicles?

Saar, Imported Tatra trucks are also left hand driven. These Ashok Leyland stallion trucks are prolly made for left-hand drive export markets. And bcoz customizing them would mean additional cost and delay hence, the IA is using these left hand drive trucks.
