So the cop has a live fire arm within arms reach of the perp and the barel pointing straight out incase if an accidental discharge. Lol

Tactics useless without training
Check out the trigger discipline of the undercover police. It's perfect, so accidental discharge is ruled out here. And he is holding him well enough to counter him incase he tries to be a smart-ass.

In that case, J&K police will learn from their mistakes hopefully correct them next time.

Much ado about nothing!! Apparently, it was a toy gun to scare away the rest of the crowd while they nabbed the key culprits.
(Not sure why the newspapers have revealed that it was a toy gun - next time the fellow stone pelters might try to rescue their ring leader!)

Presstitutes always look out for their own kind. Even this entire OP must have been kept secret.

Are camo dresses required to be uniform - is nature uniform - should camo be uniform to blend in? It is one thing to always beat around this bush and another thing to note that this is not a parade event. If our troops appear in non-uniform uniform during formal parade turnouts then we should criticize them, otherwise when they are in camo in an operation setting I personally believe there is no need for uniformity. As long they have non-obvious markers (and it should not be obvious so as to deter snipers) to determine rank and unit then it is all good.
Total straw man argument.

OF COURSE standards are relaxed in the field, that isn’t my point. There should be STANDARD kit, customisation based on induvidual role doesn’t even come into it when every other soldier is wearing a different camo pattern, plate carrier design and or helmet.

And you KNOW this is a failure because when the army goes to an international exercise they ALL have standard brand spanking new kit and are all uniform.

Not only does it show how broken the procurement system is by the IA but it DOES reflect a breakdown in standards and this IS a concern if you give a hoot about the Indian military.

Why should the Indian army be unique? Point to an you other somewhat modern military and see how they look in combat.

Besides that what about common sense? If there’s is standardisation then equipment can be swapped and changed on a unit level. Here every other soldier cannot interchange with any other.

It’s the antithesis to a modern disciplined fighting force and it reveals some real deep issues. It’s legitimate to ask wtf IA is playing at considering their swallow up >50% of the ENTIRE defence budget.
Relax buddy! You're way off the mark here. You see different rigs because they are from different organizations but taking part in the same operation - Army, AR, SOG, CRP, Garuds, SF, NSG, local police and so on. And thus you'll see troops dressed differently during CAS and other ops.
Nah. There’s ample evidence that even within units and sub-units there is a lack of commonality and uniformity. I think I know pretty well by now how to differentiate NSG Fromm CRPF, RR Fromm SOG etc.

He had his weapon out during the course of a detention. It’s perfeftly under comtrol of the officer. How else would you propose this is done? The officer go armed with pepper spray?
