bullet doesn't see difference between elite soldiers and soldiers.

You dont know how operations r conducted in valley. They r literally searching every houses to find terrorists. So sometimes terrorists might get lucky

Training teach what he cannot do naturally as a normal person, It enhances its capabilities but does not gives bullet resistance capability ( awkward ) ..

The moment you get hit, you are inefficient in combat ..

This is a war of attrition....it wouldn't be too long before the rats who feared daddi wala fauj will give a respectable name to our fearsome garuds....it just takes some time to build the reputation.

Come on guys the bastards got lucky today it doesn't mean Garuds lack skills I would like to mention here operation red wings here where navy seals lost 12 of their guys in which 8 of them along with 8 night stalkers were killed with an RPG when they were climbing down from helicopter shit happens you can't do anything about it

2 Police constables were also involved in the module of ammunition supply to Hizbul Mujahedeen; module busted by Police in Shopian on 9 Oct.

Quite sure that other than Ammunitions, they give away vital CASO infos to them before it takes place, so that the terrorists could shift to a safe place. No wonder why so many CASOs failed in Shopian.

So far there have been 5 Fatal casualties from MARCOS in the valley:
- 2 in an IED attack in August 1999.
- 2 in encounters in May & June 2003.
- 1 in a militant attack in September 2009.

Unfortunate to see the losses on our side. That said, I guess our Garud force may need lot more exposure and change in tactics. The feedback during Pathankot was not too encouraging either.
Sorry to post this here and at this time.

You are probably not aware that Garuds are specially trained to infiltrate enemy air bases and take out enemy air assets and ammunition dump in the bases. They are demolition expert. Garuds aren't that experienced in counterterrorism ops as this is not part of their main training. Today's unfortunate Garud casualties is because the hiding terrorists fired burst of rounds first out of nowhere which injured our Garuds critically.

I suspected even when pathankot happened. Para SF seems to be doing way better all these elite specialised commandos even when it comes to close combat as a squad. Although Para SF role is to have more offensive ops.

Not bullet resistance but injury bearing capacity which is higher than normal soldiers. Even Col Lalit rai mentioned during his speech that specialized platoon of gurkhas were all shot and still chopping the pathans and survived 3 days without food water and all.

Comparison is not with Pakis. And those who entered were also trained by Pakis.

What I am saying is it takes a lot of hard work and effort to be in elite forces.

You go through sleepless nights, torture, hunger and thirst physical stress and emotional stress too.
Then you become eligible for training to bear more pain of all kinds.
After you are ready then you are trained to strike in any kind of mental of physical stress.

If tactics are not well taught the commando has to pay the price and then there no use of making a person so bearable when he becomes target of a Jahil's single burst easily.

By elite Gurkhas he meant healthiest, best in games and everything with same training that all men get ..

It depend on the will, sprite and high moral of the solider, SF, Gurkha & Sikh so does other are all same ..

People get shot in head, chest, belly and get back in service after treatment, Its same for all soldiers ..
