I don't think a response is forthcoming, to be honest. Opening up a second front when our Eastern border is this tense is not exactly characteristic of India even under a BJP government. Actually 2.5th front because Kashmir is on the boil.

Pakistan cannot win a war of attrition against India, jihadi morale and stone pelting can only be sustained so long. I think we are looking to sustain the intensity of the counter terrorist operations while maintaining the status quo unless provoked.
