and even the enemy has psychological effect when they face them for obvious reasons.
There are very few cases where some one from Naga, Dogra, Kumaon, Garhwal, Gurkha, Assam & Ladhak scouts been subject to mutilation by the enemy. It's a case to study.
I may be wrong but @Bornubus can analyse better.
There have been three or four instances of beheading that have been brought to public attention during recent years. We don't know how many have gone unreported. Anyway, most Indian regiments have not had a beheading incident that we know of. Does this seem to imply that the jawans who got beheaded were incompetent? Nope, it is simply a function of being in the wrong place in the wrong time. There is little you can do when ambushed, race/tribe/ethnicity has nothing to do with it.There are very few cases where some one from Naga, Dogra, Kumaon, Garhwal, Gurkha, Assam & Ladhak scouts been subject to mutilation by the enemy. they are not incompetent but they when you deploy these boys, it also gives psychological resistance to the intruder. There have been three or four instances of beheading that have been brought to public attention during recent years. Ishwar Chand, 28, whose father, Prem Sagar, was one of the two men beheaded in that attack, said that his father’s body was missing its head and hands.
“There was no neck even,” he said. “How can we believe this is the body of our father? We are told by officials that the army will not lie in this situation.”
It's Falke B3X, reflex sight is the Falke LEBest quality image of FAB Defense modernization kit in use on Rashtriya Rifles Kalashnikov -
Now it's clear that the holosight/reflex is a SIGHTMARK Ultra Shot M-SPEC (as was previously known)...but now we also know that the magnifier is a FALKE model of unknown power -
Any insights? @Kunal Biswas @ghost
lol maybe we are the ch****** for expecting that this time will be different. And that Chutiya Shah was saying in Chandigarh that Pakis will pay in future if this happened again .
You'll still need the optics, NVDs, illuminators and other accessories which cost more than the rifle itself.@Gessler I would only like to add that instead of customizing present lot of AK ,I will prefer ak 103 or any other modern 7.62x39mm rifle being inducted as a standard issue 7.62x39m assault rifle for Indian army.
All are coming... on the way....You'll still need the optics, NVDs, illuminators and other accessories which cost more than the rifle itself.
Of course ,that's given .I don't think that these optics will be/have been bought in large numbers (B3X ,LE QL).These along with the mods on the rifle have been done at the commander level in small numbers (assumption) .You'll still need the optics, NVDs, illuminators and other accessories which cost more than the rifle itself.
What is the basis to claim US$ 2 Billion sights are being ordered? All are coming... on the way....

Right now RFIs are out 10,600 II tubes based PNSs and 26,000 TIS for 7.62mm LMGs. Apart from that nothing else for Infantry. These include 1400 night vision for t-90 as well.
There is a thread too, on the forum.
