Compared to New Year's Eve last year, one difference is that the talk of peace with Pakland is no longer the narrative. Not even in media.

I guess this shows some glimpse into what the policy direction is.

The day you get 220 Indian fisherman released from pak jails, let me know.

You think this sort of thing happens without approval from both PM.

You guys are funny, logic is not one of your strong suites when it come to topic of modi.
Good sense of reply...because some people won't understand harsh reality

Gen Dalbir Singh Retires After 43 Years In Service, Thanks Center For Giving Free Hand In J&K

The Indian Army chief, General Dalbir Singh, retired today after 43 years in service and will shortly hand over charge to his successor, General Bipin Rawat.

"After 43 years of service to the nation I superannuate today. I salute the martyrs who made supreme sacrifices," Dalbir Singh said after inspecting a Guard of Honour at the South Block lawns here.

He paid his tributes to the soldiers who laid their lives for the country and thanked the Prime Minister and his government for “their full support and giving free hand in conduct of operations.” He also expressed his gratitude for granting One Rank One Pension.

“In 2012, we had killed 67 terrorists, 65 in 2013 & killed 141 terrorists alone in J&K this year,” ANI quoted General Dalbir Suhag as saying.

Modi faces regional troublemakers constantly uprooting and negating his moves. Just look at each and every positive step. The idiots like Mamta questioning army preplanned maneuvers as anti national and anti-TMC!, Chidddi and others keep on criticizing him. I have never seen an opposition party making negative remarks against an elected PM or the president when it comes to National interest and defense issues. Mr. Obama got full support from people like John McCaine for taking decisive action of deporting multiple Russian embassy and other members and other diplomatic staff. Modi is the first PM to grant the military appropriate military action against terrorists. Negrota base attack was possibly a combination of oversight, circumstantial neglect or an insider job. I have no doubts that more decisive action is coming in near future. To expect " all will be well" in 2 years time in a country where unruly nondisciplined environment is ingrained is a stretch.

Remember all this "aazadi" movement started after PDP started releasing separatists from jail.
And intensified with the death of Poster boy. The intensity can only be compared with early 2000 or late 90.

Nawaz tried to brand wani a Hero but failed. Only little support Pakis got are from OIC.

^^ And the intensity died down like a Baki wet dream as soon as DeMo was announced.

Paisa khatam khel khatam.

As for the intensity you clearly forgot

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Kashmir_unrest

The then Home minister Chiambaram was "moved" by the plight of the protesters and infamously asked the security forces to "use non-lethal means"

http://www.thehindu.com/news/nation...l-disturbances-chidambaram/article2455521.ece

The same Faarooq Abdullah who's shedding tears for the protesters demanded the repeal of AFSPA.

And the then PM MMS ACTUALLY constituted a 39 member delegation including the then Home Minister Chindambram and the current Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, who was in a pappi jhappi mode those days.

No one bought the Baki and Kashmiri lies then and no one is buying them now. At least the facade of GoI sponsored "peace" missions has been done away with.

Baki-loving Kashmiris understand just one language- disproportionate violent response to their violence.

Question: What are US soldiers doing in there?
This does not look like a part of Yudh Abhyas. And this is a simulation of what IA faces in Kahmir (with the locals protesting and all). Is this part of some other series of exercises or is it a one-off training?
Moreover, why are US troops being briefed about IA ops in the valley? Surely US soldiers are not likely to face such a situation in their AO. Is this a politically motivated brief? So that the Pentagon gets some idea of what IA is facing in Kashmir?:confused1:
