they get battled harden through such operations and keep honing their skills & tactics else you dont see war daily basis to practice what you have learned... its my POV

When PARA (SF) are called in they come as a self contained fighting element with their own food, ammo, specialised equipment (sensors, UAVs, explosives, communications, medical etc) weapons etc. It is a LOT to haul around, these guys don't f*ck around.

I am disappointed to see that our CI troops still have no ballistic shields. They would be highly useful in CQBs such as Pampore or 26/11.

@Kunal Biswas are you aware of any plans to acquire these for IA, RR or NSG?

Last i know, The requirement were launched back in 2006 ..

Our Forces never used ballistic shields . They don't use this tactic probably because it reduces the speed and manurablity of soldiers .
