Nah, similar. Arjun platform has some advantages, but some disadvantages too.... but the newer tech can be transferred to our T-90 (which we never tried for some reason)
Where did you get that? On every measurable metric, Arjun has performed vastly superior to the T-90. Arjun is a superior tank in every way except one metric - weight.

Read this forum thoroughly you'll understand . What we need is upgrade of engine and tanks and then move to FMBT There is no need to increase the number of already obsolete tanks.

Till now about 242 Arjuns (MK1 and MK1A) have been ordered. The DRDO guys want the number to be about 500-600 to recover the ammoritized cost that have been already invested in the programme and to set-up a viable supply chain involving private sector companies by indegenizing most of the foreign imported components.

Thus there is room for another 250-350 Arjuns MK2 as of now. But no firm intent has been placed till now. Though Army had itself asked DRDO to re-design the hull and turret structures of Arjun back in 2016-17.

That's basically the present basis of GNMBT, you'll see the similarities of you note the shapes closely.
I don't think that is the GNMBT project. Arjun MK2 will be based on re-designed hull and turret of Arjun MK1 platform. Personally speaking I expect it to follow Leo-2A4 to A7 type trajectory. This project was born out of a discussion by DGMF, MOD and DRDO offcials in 2016-17, when it was decided to bifurcate the original mk2 programme into a mk1A (same basic platform as MK1) and mk2 (re-designed platform) separate programmes.

GNMBT is basically what DRDO has been clamouring to the Army since 2008-09, for replacement of their T-72 tanks, since Army had made it clear to them at that point of time that Arjun will not be ordered beyond the initial 124 no. . At that time the programme (in DRDO nomeclature) was known as FMBT project. DRDO wanted Army to frame-up PSQR based on which they will start their work. Army on their part cold-shouldered their proposal for years. Thus DRDO came up with a 50 tons Leclerc type tank design first and then a Armata type design (which is presently known GNMBT). However, the Army now has gone for SPV route for its FRCV programme and wants private players tieing up with foreign tank OEMs. It is still not clear whether GNMBT will be allowed to bid for FRCV RFI.

but the armata type was more good for the crew ??
Yes, you can say that. Crew survivability is highest in such arrangement. But the turret is thinly protected in Armata style arrangements. Any high end AFSPDS round can knock the whole turret off, resulting in a mission kill. In the very least, the turret should be protected by Merkava type add-on armour modules.

Another drawback of Armata design is that it offers limited visibilities. The crew will rely a lot on turret mounted cameras, for situational awareness. Any small arms fire can disable those cameras, leaving the crew in a blindspot.

There's no evidence of any Arjun Mark2 after Mark1A, no matter what that Prasun fellow says... and if you look into the differences as the concept transitioned from you can now the Arjun based developments. Earlier they looked very clean-sheet.

Depends on what you consider as sufficient evidence.

Has any defence journalist confirmed Arjun MK2 till now based on their "sources" : Yes. Till now Prasun sengupta confirmed in his Trishul blog. Saurav jha have confirmed (as recently as his February Youtube IAH). Shiv Aroor confirmed that Army has asked for re-design in 2016-17, nothing after that.

Does any MOD/DRDO doccument on Arjun MK2 exists : No.
