You’re a day too late bro, I’ve already shared your Twitter post
my man already posted damn XD i'm late to postSupposedly few optics on trials
Atleast we know for sure someone in the MoD atleast knows there is something called LPVO
Also be ready for the picture to get lifted by the Instagram fanpages and “Defense” Youtubers to declare based on this that Indian MoD has ordered LPVOs for the SIG 716s
Most likely SF
Any news about the standardization of this LPVO so far??
They are probably testing it, and they have mounted it incorrectly too. The optic should only be mounted on the piccatinni section on the reciever, AR handguard do flex just enough to cause zeroing issue.Any news about the standardization of this LPVO so far??
LPVOs cost a lot, also this is a 4x LPVO which considering it’s caliber is very less, Americans use 4x ACOGs on M4A1s shooting 5.56x45 NATO, while SiG-716 has 7.62x51 NATO considering which an 6x/8x LPVO should be better. But the P4Xi costs less than a grand so most likely will be selected.Any news about the standardization of this LPVO so far??
Also the scope is mounted far away from the eye.(somebody pointed out that it was to clear the iron sights)Hope they figure it out gradually and use the 716 to its fullest extent. They are probably testing it, and they have mounted it incorrectly too. If they ever have to take the handguard off they will have to take off the optic too.
Yeah i was the one who pointed it out. Also the scope is mounted far away from the eye.(somebody pointed out that it was to clear the iron sights)Hope they figure it out gradually and use the 716 to its fullest extent.
As for the infantry ecotechs with magnifier would also do a great job though not as good as a LPVO. But again the recoil of 7.62×51 is notorious to break sights. So it is to be tested whether the magnifier can withstand the recoil ( considering 716 uses th lmg rounds)LPVO is not just about magnification, it helps you in bullet drops, and windage far better than what an iron sight can do.
The reticle seems to be not that great, 4x isn’t some great magnification. 8x is something that should work.As for the infantry ecotechs with magnifier would also do a great job though not as good as a LPVO. OLF Dehradun Scope has the potential to become a standard LPVO imoAny news about the standardization of this LPVO so far??
What is its range?OLF Dehradun Scope has the potential to become a standard LPVO imo
You mean magnification? I guess it’s 4 times. What is its range?
Source for OLF sight magnification? You mean magnification? I guess it’s 4 times.
