Thirty Indian Army officers (both retired and still serving) are now fighting the last battle of their lives to clear encroachers from the plots in Pune (Haveli taluka) they got at discounted rates from the government. Some of these officers have served time in Pakistani hell holes as prisoners of war and some have lost a limb or two while defending their country. Most of them were in active service in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war and all, at some point of time in their distinguished careers, were decorated with gallantry awards.
