So people missing the context, Lt. Gen. saab visited isolated forward posts of Kargil. By isolated forward posts, they mean posts that can only be reached by 6-8 hours of trekking or by helicopters. As such, supply to these areas generally consists of canned and frozen foods.

Fresh veggies/meat is rare and hence given as a gift.

To be honest, exoskeletons as of today are quite bad and best relegated to research labs. The amount of strength added is countered by the hindrance to mobility.

As of today, it is much better to simply use troops from high altitude areas, or troops who have been deployed there for a long time .

IMO three things are needed in IA for mass induction ; Good Ballistic vest +plates , A scope on every rifle, and at the very least night vision for every officer.

One rifle mounted IR device/ image intensifier per section is the norm
Obviously depends on the Mission profile

Have some Nepalese friends they see India in positive way but they have relationship with India so there is that but they say most people here just hate India and support china China has there own shopping centres there and have invested good amount of money in Nepal

IIRC even in History Nepalis have tendency to collaborate with CHinese and did attack Indian areas (now bihar UP nepal bordering areas). They held up for 50 years, before getting ousted and by another Indian king.

true that, destroyed their culture with communism, haughtily rejected their willingness to merge and we had money in billions to give to Afghan or BD but could not do that in Nepal. Bhutan - it shall simply become the case who can throw in more money China or India(You know the answer). The only saving grace, for both countries - we still hold to Land Link to BoB and Indian plains for goods. Unless China is willing to subsidize these nations for long term and build massive connectivity infrastructure with those two countries - Those two countries can't afford to annoy us beyond point.
