The article only speaks for the lightweight 155mm L39. Not the 105mm Garuda. Garuda looks small. I wouldn't bet on more than 10km range.
And yes, there does exist a 105mm gun with 30 km range.

With Denels V-LAP round, it goes upto 36km.
It is L52 and weighs 3.8 tons. They were trying to make it 2.5 tons. I don't know what happened.

It is a 33 cal OFB gun by looking at it, Originally mandus group got a shorter barrel gun at expo and on the marketing youtube vid ..
