I don't see any fins :why:Pinaka MBRL with GPS / INS guided Rockets ..
DRDOGPS Antenna:
Increased application of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) for navigational aids, necessitated the development of low profile antennas. Two types of low profile antennas, viz., Wraparound Microstrip Antenna for Pinaka Rocket and Quadrifilar Helix Antenna for manpack GPS have been developed by DRDO. The development of GPS antenna for Pinaka, along with its feed network, is a challenging task as it requires antenna to be conformal with the cylindrical body of the rocket. Quadrifilar Helix Antenna is one of the preferred antennas for GPS application owing to its smaller size and cardioid pattern.
Specifications>>

I don't see any fins :why:that is a fuze from RHE warhead on Pinaka rocket.Fins or stabilizers are at the rear end of rocket cylinder like in the second picture

Indian equivalent, Its design as per BSF requirements ..
Afghanistan has 105mm howitzers in its wishlist from India, can we give these ones ?? It will help both Indian industries and as well as satisfy our new democratic neighbor's wishlist..
Check if OFs have supplied 105 to IA as required by them ( in numbers and quality ) !!Afghanistan has 105mm howitzers in its wishlist from India, can we give these ones ?? It will help both Indian industries and as well as satisfy our new democratic neighbor's wishlist..
Sure we can, In fact they want there entire Arty to be Indian origin ..
But Our Government of present will not let that happen, In an excuse they made a statement that OFB cannot do that because they dont have capacity to do so ..

Army's new mountain divisions to get light field guns instead of howitzers - The Times of IndiaA senior official at GCF Jabalpur said that the order was received in 2010 and so far 100 pieces have been delivered. Another 50 are expected to be dispatched this year. The source confirmed that this was the biggest order in the recent past.

Chinese companies can sell weapons to anyone and everyone possible, even Zimbabwe, without any scruples. French are known for their impartiality in selling weapons globally (They are selling ships to Russia even now). Israelis are same and so are British and Americans. Hence, Indian shyness of selling weapons is kind of outrageous and ridiculous.
So why does Indian government wants to pay to Russia for supplying weapons to Afghanistan, when Indian companies are more than eager to do the same?
Why this hurry to run to Russian factories for weapons and give them money and jobs? Is there something else also involved which we don't know?
Whats its current status ?
From January of this year:Any news about the drdo howitzer system ?
Whats its current status ?
Desi Bofors howitzer to be tested again, Army keeps fingers crossed - The Times of IndiaThe desi Bofors howitzer is ready to boom once again. Procurement Nadir: India’s Murky, Messed-Up Howitzer CompetitionsIndia's 2 towed howitzer competitions, and its 2 self-propelled artillery procurements, have mostly served as cautionary tales. If the stakes weren't so high, they'd qualify as farce. The simple process of buying off-the-shelf artillery guns has become a decades-long affair filled with legal drama, accusations of corruption, and multiple re-starts – but not one new gun. Competitions are declared, and canceled, again and again. One is on its 5th iteration. Another is on its 3rd. Meanwhile, India's stock of operational 155mm FH77 howitzers has dwindled to around 200, and their last successful artillery buy was over 2 decades ago. Is there an end in sight to any of these competitions? Or a potential winner?
