I think Bharat Forge should pretend to be a foreign company that has opened production facilities in India and take the decision makers in MoD and IA on foreign trips to various countries and shuttle them around and then get them to sign on the papers and bring them back. Saves us bloody time and money in the long run.

Nope, nothing, IA had put forth a proposal to procure 400 Athos under an emergency procurement route to the MoD, it was shot down.
ATAGS orders will be placed in approximately 1-2 months from now, intial order 150 guns, cleared by the DAC in 2016.
