Same project with different paintWhat’s this for now?
WhAP exists, Abhay MK.2 exists
how many projects without orders are going to be churned out?
Lets tweet Anand Mahindra and ask about the status of ASLV.It should probably take 2,3 years to start delivery as numbers were hugh, i don't find anything suspicious here

Just my thoughts,What’s this for now?

Isn’t this back to square 1? Remember how the original FICV was meant to have tracked and wheeled variants? This was back in ~2015, then they broke it up, Kestral/WhAP emerged and FICV proceeded as a tracked only proposal for industry. Now back to this and still not even the EOI is out, literally 15 years from now there won’t be any vehicle (tracked or wheeled) ordered just going around the housesJust my thoughts,
Advanced Armoured Platforms (Tracked and Wheeled) which are to be developed will use a lot of common technologies and parts so it will help in maintenance and all sort of things. Both the platforms will inherit a lot from WhAP and Abhay. I think of them as next generation versions of WhAP and Abhay.
IA is yet to give any substantial orders for WhAP but they might reach a figure of around close to 400 but with these vehicles we might see the numbers going upto 1500+ each if they get selected as FICV. Since, L&T is already developing its own FICV, so I am not sure which company will partner with DRDO
They nagged for it to be amphibious, then demanded for the amphibious capabilities to be removed for the token orderIsn’t this back to square 1? + what happened to that RFI for 200 wheeled recce vehicles the Kestral was supposedly a certainty to get?
they’ve ordered less than 10 (IPMV) and completely killed the program with their ‘next gen’ demands. Unreal.
Indeed. WhAP by design (as spec’d by the IA) is amphibious, the units delivered to the IA were spec’d (again by the IA) to not be amphibiousThey nagged for it to be amphibious, then demanded for the amphibious capabilities to be removed for the token order
No hard kill APS on a ~25t ‘tank’? Not even slat armourMost likely Kalyani will offer this tank design.
It doesn't look much different from tata oneMahindra 8x8 whap ready for army trial
Is it Mahindra’s IP? I thought I saw that it was a Re-badge job which seems to be all of Mahindra defence’s portfolioIt doesn't look much different from tata one
