since it is a comparation again, I put a list of PLAAF
fighters and attacters as well ...this is from the MP.net few months ago...this is just for
your reference only .
bombers are not in the list...but I'm sure just
few H-5 in service for training
there are 350 new varients of
J7s in service (last patch in 2003). the rest 250 old varients have been in service around 15-20 years.
the eldest J8A/E varient has been phased out recently. all left around 200 J8F/Hs are improved with BVR ability.
Su27/30 and J11: few old 27/UBK(the first 26 jets: 19 years in service since 1992) and J11(entering in service in 1998 ) retired or crashed, normally they were replaced by the new built J11 (not J11B) before the J11 production ended.the production of J11B is on, but the total number should be less than the one (412) in the list...around 390 by now
PLAAF has more J/H7As than the number in the list coz they are replacing the Q-5s. it's around 100
For the same reason , PLAAF has more J8,JH7,J10 J11 in test units.and much more J7 J8 in stock.
