Ya'll Nibbiars Sher Dil had no realistic combat only some of the CGI were OK and good, Most filmmakers take liberty but in this case they are not concerned about realistic combat or even story line a Rip off Top Gun. There is still the Opertion Valentine, but that also suffer from the lower budget, only positivity about that could be it's accuracy than this one. If want to see any accurate portal of any air operations the see this Patlabor 2.
The top one is the movie Fighter with a budget of Rs 250 cr and the bottom one is Sher Dil with a budget(allegedly) of INR 5 crore.

Throughout the trailer of Fighter not one VFX scene looked realistic, looked more like 3d model superimposed.

Good VFX can be easily done on a budget of 250 crore but since Bollywood prefers to spend 75% of the budget on actors, hence the movie quality is like chota bhim.

Ya'll Nibbiars As said many times before the Dawowood is a black money into white money making scheme. The budget is not infleated by also misreported. Amd Sherdil actual budget was much higher DGISPR sports this kind if films both dircet and indirectly.

Is stolen valor punishable in India?
Stolen valor is a serious offense in India under IPC 140 . Even military personnel are not allowed to don the uniform after retirement.
"I remember there was a case where a retired Lt Col wore a uniform in a podcast show. Later, he was booked by the police, and his pension was stopped by the army.

Translation:
PAPA MUJHE F-35 CHAHIYE!!!! :crying::crying::crying:
naah means fast track Rafale acquisition for 100+ fighters…
IAF will definitely milk this coning from bhikharis 🤣🤣🤣
Jibes and comedy aside, we really need good 4.5 gen fighters. I think ~6-8 squadrons of Rafale will be good stopgap measure till we mature LCA Mk2 & AMCA.

by the time we have 100 Rafales, Chinkies will have 7th gen fighter jets firing lasers which they will dick measure with the US equivalent, seeing the snail's pace at which things are currently proceeding

Yeah agree, Chinese are unnaturally fast in decision making because of how their govt. works.

LCA Mk2 -> Delayed
TEBDF, AMCA -> Not even left design board

Then what's the solution ? Something that balances indigenous development without damaging our AF capability.

Nope, it's exactly what i said, Burger-wale uncle has given a lot of chocolates to IAF Kiddies for this purpose
from what I have heard lots of tutu main main going on between US DOS and Indian Ministry of External Affairs we are done for any large defence deals with Americans for the time being.
Other than more Engines for Fighters, Ships and Light Tanks we wont jump for anything else.

If Modi comes for 3rd Term we likely see 100+ Rafales contract signed before end of this year

Now I believe most people did not expect Pakistan to get the offer from Beijing to supply the J31 so soon.
Obviously there must have been some signal from China after which the PAF Chief talked about a potential acquisition.

Why the Chinese Government is proceeding to fast track the potential supply of J31 to the PAF is something to be analyzed.
Because I believe the PAF is still In the process of inducting the J10C fighter. Usually it takes a few years for any Airforce to successfully integrate a new aircraft. New tactics have to be developed along with training to optimize the use of the aircraft.

A question arises - does the PAF feel that the J10C is not capable enough to face the latest IAF fighters especially the Rafale.
And how many J10C fighters have been actually inducted into the PAF.

Anyway if the J31 does indeed enter PAF service, it will no doubt complicate the situation for the IAF.

Not because the J31 is another F22.But because it will give a psychological boost to the PAF pilots.

Our Rafales had flummoxed the PAF because it is a full generation ahead of whatever aircraft the PAF has.Making the PAF very wary of any unilateral hostile action against India.

But the J31(though God knows how good it is)would embolden the nut cases(fanatic Islamic fundamentalists) in the PAF to wrongly think that they have established superiority over the IAF.

The risk of military adventurism by Pakistan might increase.

So an equalizer will become necessary. India will have no option but to consider an counter acquisition.
The options are limited. Because the AMCA will not arrive within this decade.

Getting the F35 is like opening a Pandora's Box.
Washington tries to turn whoever buys it's topline defence equipment into a meek impotent client state and a puppet.

How good is the Su57.We had rejected it before.

A lot depends on the actual capability of the J31. I can bet 100% we(our intelligence agencies) have zero knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of the J31. We probably have zero penetration of the PLA leave alone the PLAAF or PLAN.I believe the J31 is a Chinese Navy baby. Not very sure.

A few arrows, shooting in the dark.
Like, can the Rafale AESA radar detect the J31 at a safe distance. Guide the Meteor BVR missile till the missile locks on to the aircraft using it's heat seeker(IIR).
Or can the S400 system radar be able to detect an supposedly stealth shaped J31. Create a firing solution.

An interesting fact is that the S400 actually plays the role of an offensive weapon system as regards Pakistan. Even if placed about 100 kms inside our border in order to be out of normal artillery range.
It creates an 250 -300 kms No Fly Zone inside Pakistan.
Usually SAM systems play an defensive role in guarding ones own airspace.

Will the J31 actually be offered to Pakistan or is it nothing but a fart from the PAF Chief.Time alone will tell.

This seemed like the most relevant thread to post this.

PIC mentions about how they manipulate their electronic, aerodynamic and combat performance to simulate REDFOR(in this case, a Su-30 - Russian/Chinese/(probably?) Indian)

Do we have anything like this in the IAF/any details about such?

Like I said before there is nothing wrong with the VFX dept, it is the director, what good if you have a freaking 5 lac DSLR and give a monkey to shoot photograph?

Not related to IAF, but why is that erdo guy requesting to buy eurofighters or such. Isn't the kaan or something ready to fly as boasted by turkroaches. They basically at prototype stage and if the kaan is supposedly on paper then they may have to resort to importing to fill the gaps. So, my burning question is what prompted to for foreign maal when the fighter is at last stage unlike ours where it exists only on paper.

It's a jhumla like most Phipth Jen fighter jets apart from 5th gen ones from the Big 3.
Only the Koreans come close, but they have already purchased F35s

They buying Eurofighters because Uncle Sam is doing masti -e- gaand and denying them more F-16 purchases

NO engine means no plane.
At this stage, better get few sukhoi maybe 2 squadrons, get the rafale deal on track.
Rest is to jack up LCA-MK1A production until MK2 is mature enough.
On the brighter side, air defence has progressed with akash, S-400 etc
