Ya'll Nibbiars It Didn't because it have no rights, even the consultancy were ex officers who's references were probably thrown in the dustbin. And here's the funfact the writer is a EX Kumaon Officer. Why did the Airforce give green light to movies like this ?
It will at best become meme material and damage IAF's reputation.
I used to watch Dogfight TV series on the History channel some 15 years ago and even that had better graphics and better physics than this 2024 movie.
Some of the details that they could have gotten right didn't even require Air Force consultants; they were freely available on Google.Ya'll Nibbiars It Didn't because it have no rights, even the consultancy were ex officers who's references were probably thrown in the dustbin. Dodging the A2A missile as if it's an arrow that needs to get stuck in the target before it explodes - such cabbage movies!!!Some of the details that they could have gotten right didn't even require Air Force consultants; they were freely available on Google.
From the trailer, one could easily discern that the movie makers didn't understand even the basics of aerodynamics, physics, or how aircraft and missiles work.
I have a cousin working with one of the big studios, and he says these people don't even do basic research.
Worst of all, it appears that the VFX of the movie is even worse than that of the Pakistani movie 'Sher Dil.' The aircraft and aerial sequences in that movie looked more realistic than in this one
Ya'll Nibbiars Sher Dil had no realistic combat only some of the CGI were OK and good, Most filmmakers take liberty but in this case they are not concerned about realistic combat or even story line a Rip off Top Gun. There is still the Opertion Valentine, but that also suffer from the lower budget, only positivity about that could be it's accuracy than this one. If want to see any accurate portal of any air operations the see this Patlabor 2.Some of the details that they could have gotten right didn't even require Air Force consultants; they were freely available on Google.
