I never understood the logic why Tejas got EL/M-2032 (rather than EL/M-2052) as it clearly needs AESA radar rather than SEPECAT Jaguar where EL/M-2032 would suffice.
Cause at that time it wasn't integrated and developing a smaller radar for jaguar was not worth it , and when 2052 arrived it was deferred to mk1a ,and uttam was persued side by side , we may see uttam in tejas foc and ioc , someday

By the time our multi-mode radar program failed and we decided to use EL/M-2032 in Tejas; EL/M-2052 was available for general use.

Yes i know its plane and ship...i talking on phased decommisioning of ships ..how smoothly they do it cant they do it with planes..!!...there is no lowering of security by phasing out migs..i am sure this plane is either going fall in Pak, China .. kahi nahi to india main girega atleast we will be saving our pilots life..

If you want to analyse the woes of IAF, for me it started with MiG 23. Early retirement of 100+ aircrafts. Similarly MiG 27 ( a version of MiG 23) too were retired relatively early.

Rapid Turnover in IAF Brass
May 29, 2021; By: Team BharatShakti
Print Email
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is witnessing an unusually rapid turnover at its highest command and staff levels. Between April and September this year, five Commanders-in-Chief (C-in-C) level officers have either retired / or would superannuating (as they say in sarkari-speak), apart from the Chief of Air Staff, bringing in a rush of fresh blood to the top in quick time.
It began with Air Marshal SK Ghotia, who retired as C-in-C, South Western Air Command (SWAC), headquartered at Gandhinagar on April 30. Air Marshal Sandeep Singh has taken charge at SWAC since then. Air Marshal Sandeep Singh was Deputy Chief of Air Staff (DCAS) in New Delhi before moving to Gandhinagar.
Coming Monday, on 31st May, Air Marshal Amit Tiwari, C-in-C, Central Air Command will retire followed by retirement of Air Marshal HS Arora, the current Vice Chief of Air Staff (VCAS) on 30 June. Air Marshal Arora will be succeeded by Air Marshal VR Chaudhari, currently, C-in-C, Western Air Command, headquartered in Delhi.
On 31st July, the C-in-C, Air Force Training Command, based in Bengaluru, Air Marshal RD Mathur will retire followed by superannuation of Air Marshal Rajesh Singh, currently heading the tri-services Strategic Forces Command (SFC), on 31 August.
Finally, current Air Chief, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, is scheduled to retire from service on September 30.

ACM Bhadauria's tenure, with just 4 more months to go, will be one of the most memorable ones. While the indigenization ball had been rolling since Air Marshal Raha's tenure, this one really cemented it with the order for the Tejas Mk1A being placed.

As long as the political dispensation in New Delhi is pushing for indigenization, the Chief of Air Staff will have to be pro-indigenization, but ACM Bhadauria was much more than just someone who lip-synced for indigenization.
