I guess the Indus river water treaty between Ind Pak somehow resembles to river Kaveri between K'taka TN. Both claim their share but political parties center their politics and rake up issues for vested interest.
Not blaming any state regarding Kaveri issue

K'taka and TN are competing for water resource which is limited in nature. The technical part of the problem is solvable, but the the political parties keep it unresolved to show people how much they care for the poor citizens, esp farmers coz most of water wl be utilized for farm irrigation. So they become the target votebank and Kaveri becomes the excuse for it. But Karnataka and TN are not enemies. India and Pak had already fought the Kashmir war in 1948, when the treaty was signed. There was no need to show such magnamity to an enemy state. But untill recently we were forced to believe that India and Pak are just separated brothers. Just 70 yrs back we were one. So being the elder brother we shld show a large heart. This thinking went behind the making of such lopsided treaties. Which is proudly said to withstand four wars. Fcking so many Indian lives were being lost and we felt pride in feeding them water for free.

They're not saying it directly, rather they associate bomb blasts inside, Indian action on LoC and saying we are facing severe "Challenges" and enemy is trying to hurt us from all fronts.

NIA is also doing "surgical strike" in TN. Many PFI members have been arrested. NIA raids in heavily Muslim areas( even police won't enter few areas).
Few days ago PFI asked for disbanding of NIA as it is "targeting Muslims". NIA has struck where it hurts I guess.

These fronts include declining Paki economy, declining Paki tax base, weakening Paki rupee, and a section of Paki elite openly hostile to Paki army.

India cannot apply significant pressure from LOC. Unless India decides to use big artillery across a broad front. The current actions by India are localized and largely to stop infiltration.

Bum blasts are common in Pakistan. Enough people have reason to take up the gun due to Paki army brutality.

I think explosives and guns are in circulation in Pakistan from long drawn Afghan war. Plus Paki army may be making money on the side selling this stuff.
