I am really interested in this part.
Who were they ? Was it the local police or the paramilitary ? Or was it the army ? If that's the case then who was on the receiving end ? Who were they fighting ?
If they were civilians then like the guy pointed out, it went on for far too long.
S
Same thing happened yesterday.

Interesting solution

One possible option to fix the Kashmir mess is another state reorganization on religious lines. Thoughts?
Option 1:
State: Jammu + HP + Uttarakhand - there is a historic cultural affinity
UT: Ladakh + Lahul-Spiti
UT: Kashmir
Option 2:
Same as above, but Jammu + HP only

That is no solution. The solution lies somewhere else.

Let us face it squarely. J&K politics is goondagiri and dadagiri of Valley Muslims who constitute the single biggest chunk of Muslim votes in J&K. That is where we have successionism and fundamentalism. Politically they have a habit of ganging up holding entire state to ranom. This monopoly of valley Muslims has been further consolidated by virtue of ethnic cleansing of Hindu Pundits driven out of valley.

The Legislative Assembly was initially composed of 100 members, later increased to 111 by the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir (Twentieth Amendment) Act of 1988.

Of these, 24 seats are designated for the territorial constituencies of the state that were administered by Pakistan in 1947. These seats remain officially vacant as per section 48 of the state constitution. These seats are not taken into account for reckoning the total membership of the Assembly, especially for deciding quorum and voting majorities for legislation and government formation.

Hence the total contestable and filled seats of the assembly are presently 87.

The Kashmir valley region has 46 seats,

the Jammu region has 37 seats

and the Ladakhregion has 4 seats.[5]

Two women may be nominated as members by the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir if he is of the opinion that women are not adequately represented.[1]

Temporary Solution : Nominatation of 24 members from the refufees settled in J& from the territoris of occupied Kashmir.

Long Time Solution : Take back / capture by military action or rebellion or insurgencies the territories of POK, Gilgit and Baltistan and conduct elction there.

This way the valley goondas will not be politically the fate diterminators of J&K. Gilgit Baltistan has Shia population and POK has Punchies more in affinity with Dogras.

Problems of separatism and Jihadism will be manged.

Rumours says Multan 2 corps against Rawalpindi corps
Regarding Bajwa's successor, each candidate has a sponsor. The sponsors are

1. China and it's OBOR
2. KSA and it's OIC and OPEC
3. America and it's NATO
the question is not who will succeed Bajwa but which sponsor will get his guy on the top and that will decide the national policy of Pakistan regarding India. Right now, I believe KSA has a lead.

In Paki land, it doesn't matter who will take over the army...........it's Paki army as an institution that's corrupt!
Just like the communist party of China.........doesn't matter who become the President, they're going to operate with very similar principles.

Sounds funny, but the rumor may have some legs!!

There's been a major reshuffle of the Paki corps commanders yesterday. The firings may be the cause or the result of the shuffle.
Does these corps commanders have private armies inside paki army? This is serious!

I doubt that. Paki army is not like the Afghan warlord militia....
Bro, you have to understand that paki army is not any army, they have high stakes, they own properties and industries inside pakistan, they rule over the country, just like any other mercenary / warlord army! They work for dollars, some commanders are loyal to the US, some are loyal to China, some to Turkey / global Islamism! Why do you think they won't fight against each other for their masters and money just like any other warlord / mercenary groups! They can always use islam khatre me excuse to take over the country, they have done before and they can do it again!

The army as a whole is definitely rogue and does unspeakable evil; but as an institution they're quite rigid and 'disciplined'. In fighting within Paki army is not heard of....even though one would wish that Pasthuns and Balochis in Paki army would revolt!

In Islamic republic of Pakistan, anyone and everyone can be turned against each other if there are enough resources put behind to do so.

A while back in 2011, there were Wikileaks report about PAF airmen sabotaging Paki F16s on the behest of their favourite local mullahs so that there would be no sorties and air action in FATA.

And then there was the Pak Navy incident wherein Pak Navy officers with allegiance to Al Qaeda were trying to hijack a missile frigate for attacking a US aircraft carrier.

So regardless of what Ghafoora tells and tries to convince the world, there always have been fault lines present and brewing in Paki military.

This is what happens when you form a nation out of religion.
