I was just about to ask.

20 dead, 50 injured in chemical factory blast in Maharashtra's Dhule; at least 70 trapped

MUMBAI: At least 20 persons died and 50 others injured in a major explosion at a chemical factory located at Waghadi village in Maharashtra's Shirpur on Saturday. Seventy persons are still trapped inside the factory, authorities informed. Rescue and relief efforts are underway. A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been deployed at the site.

If its the pakis, then time for Modi-Doval-Shah to fulfill their promise of what will happen to Pakistan if they do another 26/11. This is almost to that scale. On the other hand, knowing the lax safety standards and lack of attention to detail among Indian workers, combined companies not implementing all safety recommendations in India, I wouldn't be surprised if this is just an accident caused by our Indian chutiyapa.
More likely Indian chutiyapa... Yesterday T-90 barrel burst... OFB ammunition maybe...

Yeah, usually during an industrial accident involving a chemical factory, its main product is prominently disclosed in the news (so people in the nearby areas know if they need to evac). Interestingly, neither is the main product disclosed, nor is the factory's owner.

What's even more fascinating is that Google has absolutely no record of this factory. There's a label for a nearby kirana shop, but not this factory that has a helipad.
If CISF is on guard duty then its something special. Otherwise it's just another accident caused by old equipment at one of the thousands of poorly regulated and unorganised factories that operates with impunity in rural parts of the country

Pakistani army has mobilised it's army & deployed it's Special Service Group (SSG), an elite commando force, at the LoC. Pak's Border Action Team (BAT) is also active to carry out surprise attacks across LoC on Indian posts.

Associates of JeM Chief Masood Azher are also present in PoK area and are overseeing training of terrorist ready to cross LoC. Rise in terrorist movement has been reported in Kotli, Rawlakote, Bagh and Muzffarabad located in PoK along LoC.
Read this reply :) It is funny :)

Various teams of police, disaster management, fire brigade carried out rescue operations

Mumbai:
At least 13 people were killed and 58 others injured in chain explosions of nitrogen gas cylinders at a chemical factory in Maharashtra's Dhule district today morning, the police said.

A leaking chemical from a barrel triggered fire which led to serial explosions in the factory at about 9:45 am, a senior police officer told news agency PTI.

At least 100 workers were present in the factory at the time of the incident, he added.

The officer said the rescue operation at the spot is still going on while the blaze has been brought under control.

Teams of fire brigade, police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are conducting the relief and rescue operations.

The deafening sound of explosions caused panic in the vicinity prompting many people to rush out of their houses.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the explosion and announced Rs. 5 lakh compensation to the families of those killed.

The factory, Rumit Chemsynth Pvt Ltd, manufactures a chemical used for making medicines.

The officer said that presence of a number of nitrogen gas cylinders and barrels containing chemicals in the factory increased the severity of the blasts.

The key word could be the BARRELS containing chemicals..
anyway.. too early to conclude.
They must have reported what was told by the cops as per INITIAL reports.

anyway...the company Rumith is an established company from 1993 as per their site.

It might be that this company was making something very uninteresting.
But the way the news was handled gives it a suspicious look and feel.
