My qs to you all how these fishermen were able to or allowed to sail their boats while the whole country is in the lockdown? Or they all are being allowed to do their job as usual for the uninterrupted supply of fishes to the markets?

Random Thoughts : During this lock down & fight against Wuhan virus some things happened...

We have public used to lock down now. And used to help each other in case of supply disturbance.

We tested out a Blackout situation & it's impact on grid.

In name of Red Zones we have sealed out anti national areas, means the .5 front out of 2.5 front is identified and practically their ability to create disturbance during war is reduced as of now.

There is massive escalation on LOC, if use of155 mm is not war then what is ?

China & world is too tied up with their own problems.

We are seeing odd behavior from certain states like WB & others... center dosen't have powers to impose emergency due to Medical reasons, but it can do so in case of war.

Pakistan is at it's weakest & all who could have helped them are busy with Corona & slowdown (Gulf, Turkey, UK)

Any war will screw economy, as they say satyanash or sawa satyanash mei koi farak nahi.

Still don’t get what pakis are going to achieve out of this escalation.

So far the sequence is :

Paki sent BAT teams & tangos to take advantage of snow melt to infiltrate.
Paki caused casualties on our side.
Paki gave cover fire to infiltration.
IA retaliated on infiltration points on paki side.
IA brought out big guns, means paki also escalated with big guns.
Paki targeted Kashmiri civilian villages, and caused civilian casualties.
IA opened the entire front, probably WB too..



then what?
On one side their PM is begging for foreign money on national TV, on the other side PA is opening a front.

pakis did what pakis are doing always..
trying to infiltrate.
pakis have a way of thinking that everyone is a beggar like them and is weak like them..
pakis must have thought that due to the chinese virus we are engaged domestically and they can have it easy..which them pakis learned the real hard way that its not the case.
Them must be overconfident that our resources are stretched and we wouldn't escalate it.. As always pakis got their calculations wrong.

paki govt and paki army is never in sync.. we all know it.
paki govt is doing what they always do best...begging.
and paki army is doing what they always do best...fleeing and getting killed by the Indian army in the process.

Coronavirus | Fishing, marine aquaculture activities exempted from lockdown
The Union government on Friday exempted the operations of the fishing or marine aquaculture industry, including harvesting, sale and marketing activities, from the purview of the ongoing nationwide lockdown.

In a communication to the Chief Secretaries of all states and Union territories, the Union Home Ministry said the decision has been taken by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla in his capacity as chairperson of the National Executive Committee constituted under the Disaster Management Act.

“Operations of the fishing (marine)/ aquaculture industry, including feeding and maintenance, harvesting, processing, packaging, cold chain, sale and marketing; hatcheries, feed plants, commercial aquaria, movement of fish/ shrimp and fish products, fish seed/ feed and workers for all these activities were exempted from the lockdown,” the communication said.

The new domicile law is nothing different rest of the state in India has same domicile law it's just now being implemented to UT JK. This is the small step implementation of Indian Constitution to JK and taking control under Indian Constitution like rest of the states. Untill land reforms are made there will be no progress in JK.

First of all i don't think that k9 has used in j&k. That hilly terrain is not a tank country, like a tank k9 is also tracked one. I am bit skeptical about k9 in j&k, and if they have managed to bring k9 in j&k then its a remarkable job by army.
K9 is currently is one of the accurate howitzers in market today, like any self propelled artillery its main advantage is mobility.

Presently K9s are not being used for action along the LoC. These are strictly part of ICGs for deep thrusts into Pak as part of Cold Start and need to be ready 24X7. Such resources cannot be wasted on cross border skirmishes where the newly-inducted M-777 ultra lightweight 155mm/39-cal field howitzers and M982 Excalibur GPS-guided 155mm projectiles are being used along with 105mm field guns, 81mm mortars, ATGMs (restricted) and hull down Vijayant tanks at some locations.

There's enough fire power to screw the crap out of them in a fire assault which we just conducted, killing several Paki soldiers and their terror mercenaries apart from blowing up ammo dumps camouflaged as civilian houses and a bridge.

Expect absolutely nothing after this episode, Indians as a whole still haven't learnt the art of effective deterrence.

It's not just the military but the public also have to be kept in the loop so that they realize the true nature of the adversary and the suitable response needed.

Indians will continue this cat and mouse game for long even after achieving qualitative and quantitative dominance.

Pray tell me what is deterrence and deterrence against what ??
What makes deterrence effective ? What is the verification measures ?
What in your opinion military can do to achieve that deterrence ?

An SPO Pashid Iqbal killed by rape accused out on bail in village Tander Dachhan in Kishtawar. He went out on bail 20 days back.
IG Jammu along with DIG Doda have reached kishtwar. Operation has been launched in Tander area by the SOG and the army to nab the two attackers.
