@tarunraju is correct, it’s not the same. The reason why militancy died out in the NE was because the Indian army had all the time. Same for Kashmir. The militants and separatists, if they don’t meet a gory end will get older and while some fresh Ones will always come, weariness sets in when they can see no light at the end of their chosen tunnel. The Indian army will keep rotating its troops and just go about their normal business. As the soldiers get older, they will either retire to the villages and towns or move on to do something else. Kashmir is but a small fraction of time for most soldiers but for the separatists, it’s a never ending saga.

This is a very stupid take. Has the military ever used warplanes to dropping 1000lb bombs in Kashmir ? Have gunships been employed for cas ? Have artillery been used inside Kashmir for killing these terrorists ? The comparisons with American operations are just plain stupid.
