As per the new rules of engagement, J&K Police will henceforth not hand-over bodies of slain local terrorists to kin for avoiding huge crowds at funerals.

India is artificially fighting this conflict in a manner similar to America in Afghanistan. Long term outcomes of money + lives lost as opposed to strategic objective completion will also be the same until war is taken to Pakistan with intent to finish things for good.

US could've won Afghanistan had they brought the hammer down on Pakistan, they didn't. India can permanently and conclusively settle (all of) Kashmir, as well as its greater war with Pakistan for good - if it brings the hammer down on Pakistan - it is yet to do so.

The wave of separatism in Kashmir isn't affiliated to any kind of nationalism (there is no real thing called Kashmiri nationalism at first place) but same form of ideology which was responsible for conversions of Persia, Egypt and Southeast Asia or creation of Al Qaeda, ISIS or Taliban and even the state of Pakistan itself. They may or may not subscribe to idea of Pakistan.

Unlike first category which will be funded only till Pakistan exists or fails to remain significant for world, second category will continue to be used as a faultline explored by India's enemies.
Both categories have a kind of support for each other now as India is their common enemy. If we leave that place (which won't ever happen), just be ready to watch another Syria or Iraq.

I think it's kinda
a Muslim exclusive land/laws /system type of thing special rights for Muslims. In that conquest most of the mainstream Muslims are involved which believes there should be special rights for Muslims.
