We have been upgrading Helmets , guns , sights and gloves. What you say is contradicting the publicly available information of government giving orders for equipment, me personally seeing this equipment with soldiers of a batallion who have come back to our cantt due to rotation and video footage available. It is just that the modernization is very slow, like all things in India are. We drastically need to resolve this issue, increase percentage of GDP that we spend on Military and need a boost in our GDP.

Plus Modi government needs to grow some balls and attack everytime one of our soldier dies, not when election is around the corner. A JCO dying is unacceptable.

If the 72K SIGs are procured through emergency procurement, and it came within a year, why not redefine procurement process instead of taking L1 tenders which the process lasts 2-3 years for a rifle and 5-6 years for anything bigger

No sir, illyas was an SSG commando who was later dropped for being extremely unstable.

He was trained by Mike Vickers and was supposed to be either a captain/colonel in 313 brigade. He is the only person who has managed to kill a indian brigadier, even a general should have been victim however escaped at right moment (with jihadis under his command. For ur info, pakis haven't managed one yet)
