But that is not a military post or installation.

Usually our posts are not that close from civilian areas supplied by mules and minefields around it besides there is no fencing or hardened structure that looks like a military post.

Five people, including a police officer, were injured and a defence fuel dump caught fire on Monday as Pakistan opened fire and rained mortar shells on villages and Indian posts along the LoC in Poonch sector.


The boundary wall and a bunker of a camp shared by the army and Border Security Force were damaged when shells fired by Pakistani side hit kerosene barrels and started a fire at Gali Maidan in Saujian sector.

“A bunker and boundary wall were damaged partially but there was no loss of life. Everyone is safe,” a BSF officer said.

The camp, which is barely 3km from the LoC, provides supplies to soldiers posted along the de facto border and was on the radar of Pakistani troops.

Poonch because of its topography is vulnerable to infiltration. Pakistan often pushes militants providing them cover fire.


Pakistan fired at posts along the LoC in Shahpur Kerni sector at around 11am, defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta said. They fired 120 mm, 80mm mortar bombs, automatic weapons and small arms, he said, adding the exchange was on.

Two hours later, they targeted posts in Mandi and Saujian sectors, Mehta said.

Yes of course it is not serious. I was just trying to show these pakis that our forces came over screwed them and came back

The accent was clearly Punjabi. The jihadi infrastructure in PoK is not punjab based, but more northern pakiland based . ISI is punjabi dominated. My bet it's an ISI job.

The Reporter impersonated himself as Inspector General Police Punjab, said office of the spokesperson Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad here today.

SP Ghulam Akbar has categorically denied having spoken over phone and that it is not even his voice on the recording run by the said Indian TV channel. It is highly regrettable that the said Indian TV channel, affiliated to a world renowned media house CNN, indulged in an unethical and fraudulent act.

Pakistan strongly denounces Indian media’s despicable act of fraud of airing of a fake program aimed at twisting and fabricating stories for domestic political consumption. This is a clear indication that certain quarters in India are desperate to prove Indian false claim of surgical strike by hook or by crook.

We hope that CNN would take up the matter very seriously with the affiliate Indian TV channel and initiate action against the channel, as not doing so will be regarded as directly owning to this unethical and manipulative act.We reserve the right to take necessary legal action against the said TV channel.
