BRICS, SCO etc..Russia has some strategic issues at stake.
Even Russia is saying they wont interfere.. meaning..its just a gesture from the side of Russia when india and the backstabbing china is in some grouping like BRICS, SCO etc

No firing does not mean you use spears and clubs to kill the opponent. The gist of it, is the non use of lethal weapons against each other. China is missing the wood for the trees when it says India resorted to firing and broke the peace. As far as India is concerned India feels justified in using a Gun as a lethal weapon, in case China feels it can use a spear or a club, because for India using nail studded clubs to kill an IA soldier is as good as killing him with a Gun.

Russians are trying to play safe and benefit from both sides, in 1962 they helped PLA but denied help to India. But now they are in dire need of money and they will try to sell their weapons to both India and China and benefit from both.

Wrong Russia didnt helped China in 1962 and were even sympathtic to India to the dismay of Mao ..But since Russia was involved in 1962 cuban missile crisis they couldn't help India

There is a visible change in which nations are acknowledging about "talks" when it comes to India.
