Now that blinken has himself made this statement I expect the official US presser to contain reports of him raising the issue of human rights with us.

Him making this statment at a time when US is "supposed to be in a clash with china" tells you a lot about their current trajectory.

It seems they have finally decided to ditch the good guy facade and are now on a direct collision course with us.

Looks like USA have accepted it's role of becoming a declining power. And don't want to spend their resources to protect our interests or anyone's interests in the region they have special security policies only for first world white countries. . At best they want to sell us military equipments to earn billions of $ while we are engaged in a real escalation. When this whole LAC action was started some fan boys were claiming to provide USA a military base near LAC to stop Chinese it was soo funny . They would have left those bases at night rather than fighting ( just like how they did in AFG).

US sitting on the other end of the Pacific Ocean can definitely say the days of direct confrontation are over, but we shouldn't have the same mindset, cause if shit hits the roof it is us who have 2 nuclear nations at our border and will have to deal with them.
