DRaS is a web-based think tank founded by a group of like-minded veterans of the Indian Armed Forces.

I remember someone telling that apparently after he came to know about RAW's plans to do so he immediately called up Zia-ul-Haq and told him about the plans to attack the nuclear facility, he destroyed the R&AW and several other smaller wings of R&AW as he thought that its officers were Indira Gandhi's agents, budgets for R&AW was reduced and the organization was severely undermined and all of his actions set the Indian external intelligence apparatus decades back.
From what I gather from Nitin Gokhale's book on R.N. Kao, his loyalty was also under question as he was seen as a close confidant of Mrs. Indira Gandhi, which even if true(and most likely it was) was no reason to do what he did to RAW.
Interesting Fact is that Morarji Desai was awarded the highest civilian honour(correct me If I am wrong) of Nishan-e-Pakistani by the Pakistani government.
You are slightly wrong about the turn of events.

Morajji was in power from 1977-79. During the 70s, RAW came to know about Pakistan nuclear programme and had penetrated deep into kathua nuclear facilities. RAW spies v isited saloon shops near nuclear plant and collected hair samples from there (scientists visited the shop for haircut), which confirmed the level of the nuclear enrichment and the extent of their programme.

Then during a phone call to Paki PM in 1977-78, Morajji Desai apparently mentioned that we know about your nuclear programme, thereby expposing RAW's assests there. Paki identified those assests and killed them. His future admirers claim that it was his slip of tongue moment.

However, it was during mid 80s, (not sure Indira or Rajiv's tenure) that Israel planned an airstrike on Kathua with India's help, similar to Isareli strike on Iraq's Osirak nuclear reactor facility ( 7 June 1981) known as Operation Babylon. The Israeli planes were to take off from Indian airbases. However, India chickened out at the last minute.

Morajji had nothing to do with the planned airstrike, however knowing his nature it would be safe to assume to would have have outrightly cancelled it or if approved he would have even revealed the flight planes of Israeli planes to Pakis.

We betrayed Israel that very day. I feel Major Gaurav Arya should be PM of India, he understands everything very well.

Australian public broadcaster suspends use of China's CCTV, CGTN content
Australian public broadcaster SBS said it would stop using content from Chinese state-run television Friday, pending a review of serious human rights concerns.

The Australian television, radio and web outlet -- which specialises in multilingual, multicultural content -- said it was investigating CGTN and CCTV's airing of dozens of forced prisoner confessions.

Also, keep in mind that there was no diplomatic relations between India and Israel then. We were on thre opposite sides of the Cold War.
Still the offer was proposed on behalf of Israel.

Yogi ji ko aane do as PM, Pakistan will be sent into oblivion
And that would mean significant losses for us. We can't have a loose cannon in the PMO. We need a level headed leader. Best choice was Manohar Parrikar, may he rest in peace. Next best choice is Modi. We need a capable replacement for modi only post 2029. I'm sure some BJP MP will prove himself/herself by then.

The degree of politicisation in India, of even intelligence assets in a resolutely hostile country, is sickening. One could reduce, even totally call back( though not wise) the personnel. But to expose them to almost certain death, is grotesque.
That was MorarjiDesai and Gujral. I really hope cints like that never come within a mile of the PMO, like, ever.

From Uber armchair warrior Ninja brahmos
So, we have Jio 4g network which is clean of Huawei equipment.. and we have stressed airtel whose 4g equipment is Huawei, and it would have a hard time replacing all that equipment.. and might go belly up .. handing Jio a monopoly, which is not good for India.. So, that's why GOI gave the go ahead..?
Or is there any link with S-400 CAATSA here..or the recent Hague arbitration decision against India.. where India has to cough up 1.4 billion dollars..:hmm:

Yes it was a joint operation of R&AW and Mossad, R&AW was tasked for the Clandestine Espionage while Israeli Airforce was tasked to bomb the Kahuta facility on signal of R&AW. But you know then Morarji Desai licked the balls of Pakistan.
He was responsible for the murder of Kaoboys. India has never seen such an irresponsible and a spineless Prime minister. If Modi was in power during those days, history would have been different.
