Some important points to be noted.

1. From now onwards two strike corps will de deployed along the LAC and Macmohan line. The 1st strike corps will look after the Western sector of LAC, ie Ladakh while the Panagarh based 17 MSR will exclusively look after the North East .

2. As of now, there is only one mountain division under 17 corps. Which is the 59 th mountain div. Maybe, 72nd mountain div whose raising had been put on the backburner due to budgetary issues will now get the desired importance.Plus there are some independent brigades attached to it.

3. The 33rd armoured div under 1st strike corps will now be attached to Army HQ as operational reserve . 1st strike corps will be retaining the 23rd Cockerel and 4th Red Eagle infantry divisions. Most probably, the 42nd artillery div will be converted to IBG and remain under the 1st strike corps.

4. A mountain div will be deployed specifically for the central sector of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This div will be taken from an existing corps. Presently there is the Yol based 9 corps .

From what I could make out from his video it seems like he is hinting at the top brass of the govt & military leadership realizing the high possibility of a short skirmish in the summer months to come, the 9th corps commander level talk he says has not happened. Nitin Gokhale's sources are highly trustworthy as is evident from the level of access he has to the top brass.
