The PLAAF contingent at PAF Bholari.

View attachment 70519

There are 4 J-10C from 177th Air Brigade, Dingxin FTTB.

There are two J-11BS from 16th air brigade.

There are two J-11BH from PLAN.

Now what is intriguing is the presence of the J-10C from a brigade based at Dingxin . Which is their version of Akhtubinsk . Or you can also say their own Edwards airforce base.

The J-10C must be running bvr and counter bvr tactics against the PAF fleet of F-16MLU and F-16 Blk 52. PLAAF is busy gleaning every bit of technical data and tactics training and procedure stuff regarding F-16 from their deeper than the Indian Ocean and higher than the Himalayas beggar of a friend.

Why? Taiwan ....
Isn't porks are not allowed to use F16 nd there are American servicemen present in Porkland?

Meh, maybe if they can stick to long range gunnery. But otherwise Type-99A2 is a 59ton but 3-crew... But of level field under similar odds it'll bend T-90 Bhishma over & fuck it in the 2nd arsehole it's torn there.
Armor - T-90S, no question.
Guns - T-90S with M5, otherwise advantage China.
Ammo - Advantage china, for the time being, that is. But will that advantage translate into a kill is anybody's guess. Our little ol' T-90S is one tough little motherfucker from the front.

TLDR; from what is known pretty much equal overall... less in post-penetration survivability but has better frontal armour layout & much superior gun. However likely inferior suspension, thus mobility & mobile accuracy. BTW Arjun Mark1 is as vintage as Bhishma & Ajeya.
True. The only real advantage they hold is the main gun and not much else.

India-UK to focus on five themes for 10-year roadmap in strategic partnership

Johnson recently told the House of Commons, after much speculation, that the first of the Royal Navy’s new aircraft carriers, the 65,000-tonne HMS Queen Elizabeth—escorted by a full strike group—would visit the Indian and Pacific oceans during its maiden operational tour next year.

Read more at:
https://economictimes.indiatimes.co...ofinterest&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=cppst

Since UK still maintains many small islands in the region as base...some mutual security arrangment for sharing ports will be good.

Edit: in the hope that Ukistan shows some spine against china after the brexit with their flexibility in taking independent policies.

Amid Chinese glare, India and Vietnam look to ramp up energy, defence ties | India News - Times of India

The summit next week, in a sign of deepening defence ties, is also likely to coincide with the launch of the first high-speed patrol boat which L&T has built for Vietnam using the $100 million defence line of credit (LC) India announced earlier for the ASEAN country that remains locked in a territorial dispute with Beijing in South China Sea (SCS).

Strongly disagreed!.. T-90 supercedes Type-96/99 maybe.

A2 easily has 800mm+ LOS thickness like T-90. But doesn't have that gaping hole in all over the front, Chinks even covered up the top part by enlarging the armour block... It weighs 57tons now!
We talked about this in details. If shot at turret from front, it'll be a wonder if the <450mm area of T-90 is NOT penetrated (which area happens to lack proper ERA cover as well).

I trust you'd agree this is a fair comparison here:

Gun too, Type-99A2 is ahead of our T-90 Bhisma that essentially uses T-72 standard gun as confirmed by @Arihant Roy I think.

we follow a procedure called banner drill where we display banners then both armies dis-engage.

Yea man , i am aware of that .

Except after they came in riot gear and beat our people up.I doubt we would be doing any fancy drills,.

News says we purposely stopped going up to Y junction in order to avoid confrontation with PLA.

Considering the construction and camps they setup in galwan , and IA/ITBP + PLA presence around Pangong Tso , its really kinda weird to see that we cant find any real sign of PLA.

We surpised and took occupied heights in Pangong Tso , so why didnt we do same in Y Junction ??

 i am guessing they are there , free sat images are too shitty to see them ,

OR like in galwan we came to agreement . both sides stay away , and we cant patrol our own lands.
Here’s the report on ground situation in Depsang sector!

Matters of different perceptions really.
T-90 supercedes Type-96/99 maybe.
Not maybe, definitely, by quite some margin.
A2 easily has 800mm+ LOS thickness like T-90.
Yeah, with the same ~150mm air gap left to make room for the mounting bolts/screws that exists in all Chinese origin MBTs. Meanwhile, T-90S has a solid block of 900 mm armor (from certain AOA) covering its entire front and hiding the sides behind its arc!! And we aren't even going to mention the ERA.

But doesn't have that gaping hole in all over the front, Chinks even covered up the top part by enlarging the armour block... It weighs 57tons now!
That means nothing basically. For example, the Leopard 2A4 weighs ~54.5 tons while Arjun MkI weighs ~59 tons yet the A4 has significantly better armor layout across the entire vehicle compared to Arjun. Ever wonder why??

Don't you think our MkIA will suffer from the same drawback, perhaps even exacerbated by that exposed GMS window?

Yeah, it's a fair comarison indeed, albeit with a few missing details as how the side s on the ZTZ is completely exposed even from the frontal hemisphere or that huge lower front plate, space which is used to stow the extra rounds for the main gun.

Gun too, Type-99A2 is ahead of our T-90 Bhisma that essentially uses T-72 standard gun as confirmed by @Arihant Roy I think.
I said, specifically, that with M5 and only the M5, the T-90S will have the advanatage over the Chinese tank, otherwise, it's advantage ZTZ. I think I'd made it pretty clear in my earlier comment.

Here’s the report on ground situation in Depsang sector!

Its not that they are not blocking our patrols , what i dont understand is why there isnt any PLA build up there.

If they had any doubt we would push forward , they would have build up in the area. Like they did over heights in F4 and in Galwan.

Saw an article that since for some time , we havent gone on patrol so as not to confront the PLA.

Depsang looks like another F4 in making , We will be asleep until one fine morning the PLA takes over entire area .

What gap is this?.. In A2 variant armour starts right behind ERA with no space like T-72/90.

Unlike Leopard-Arjun the 10ton weight increase between Type-96 to 99, aint due to size difference, but enlargement of the frontal armour block in latter.

They're susceptible to flanking, but that's always chancy. I replied to your frontal engagement comment.

That's the reason you'd want Mark1A to be as far as possible, ideally moving & engaging in long range gunnery... Somewhat like T-54/55 & Centurions at Arab-Israeli wars.

Just a silly question. Why didn't DRDO go for M1A2 Abrahams / challenger 2 type sights to remove the issue of exposed GMS window?

Hmm I did read about this but as far as I am aware we haven't built any new storage reserves as of now.

Instead we planned to store our oil in US reserves and even asked saudi and UAE to store our oil in their reserves which I personally feel is a bad move.

I don't think we are building any more reserves rather we are just filling up the existing ones.
India currently has operational 5.33 million tones underground strategic reserve facilities at Vishakhapatnam, Mangalore and Padur. Another 6.5 mt facility is coming up at Padur and Chandikhole. Work on two more facilities in Bikaner and Rajkot would be initiated soon. When completed, these would hold enough oil to meet over a month of domestic requirements.

We have at present 9.3 days strategic reserves. Indian refiners maintain 65 days of crude storage, so India has overall reserve oil storage of 87 days

In addition, the Oil Ministry has told ISPRL to identify new sites so that storage for 90-100 days stock of oil is ready in the country at all times.

India and the US have signed an MoU to develop a strategic petroleum reserve and the two countries are in an advanced stage of discussion to store crude oil in America to increase India's stockpile.

I believe talks are also on between India and the UAE for additional oil storage facilities in Sharjah/Abu Dhabi.

Check out this vile design.Manchuria, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang give depth and protection to core 3 futiya hanfags from future land based threats. Having occupied Tibet, and other outlying non Han areas any rebellion or uprising has been crushed lest it affect the stability of prc.

In July 2013 China started propagating the six inevitable wars it must fight to regain so called LOST territories The six ‘inevitable’ wars are for unification of Taiwan (2020–2025), recovery of South China Sea Islands (2025–2030), recovery of southern Tibet (2035–2040), recovery of Diaoyutai and the Ryukyus (2040–2045), Unification of Outer Mongolia (2045–2050) and recovery of territory seized by Russia (2055–2060). In doing so it has signalled that these are its areas and it will go to war for them. So it is a combination of planned mythical claims and coercion.

See - https://www.aspistrategist.org.au/chinas-six-wars-in-the-next-50-years/
Just to know Tibet is the source of river systems flowing into 11 countries - China, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Burma, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and porkyland. As an upper riparian for Asia’s river systems, occupation of Tibet enables 3 futiya hanfucks to control the hydrological future of Asia.
And look what blunder boi nehru has done .This school yard outcasted orangutan took the J&K issue to the un, which he should never have, it being a purely internal matter; while he refused to refer the issue of Tibet to the un, despite its criticality to the survival of Tibet as a nation, its inherent soundness, and despite it being critical to Bharats external security...

One angle shouldn't be ruled out is, is there external influence to this?

Just when India is being touted as an alternative to China as production hub, laws are being eased. You get such news that could deter potential investments. Samsung already announced, but there will be more production companies, looking for China's alternative and this will just deter them.

Take this, with other protests in India, there's massive wave of protests going on in several sectors. It's timing does seem dubious.

Symbolic but useful for PR value and clarity to slavers like Pakis to clearly know how the US Congress views their joint conflict against us.
