The same goes for China, in fact, their mobilization will be 3x more costly than ours. Additional expenses incurred (emergency purchases) can be adjusted in next year's budget. Also, our GST & tax collection is skyrocketing thanks to stringent measures and crackdowns.
What is hurting us is COVID and economic shrinkage, plus a surplus of socialist schemes.

We anyway spend way too little on Defence.
And therefore India should make sure that China does not take India lightly. China knows that if India does an agreement, India will comply. China is an unreliable power which does not respect agreement. India should constantly keep the pressure on China and move the troops in no man's land so that China will have to maintain the troops in Himalaya and can not reduce it. India should keep occupying no men's land wherever it is economical to do that.

Chinese "erased" a village after a rocket failed on launch , crashed and killed over 100-500 people.
The biggest thing Chinese fear is bad publicity, and this rocket debacle is turning out to be a massive orbiting piece of Chinese failure soon to crash land on some innocent soul.

The best thing will be if this rocket lands on some European or American city, and this whole thing will get unspeakable publicity, giving the Chinese a harrowing reminder of their failure times immemorial.
