Does MEA agrees to this bullshit from Taiwan? Even the Middle east will not put this shitty conditions. Both of them going to give Work Permit for few years.

They're trying to brush this under the rug. MEA and GOI at large still have the same old 90s mentality of sending people out for the sake of remittances, regardless of the treatment or discrimination. In fact one guy I spoke to who's involved on the govt side retorted "we don't have enough jobs here, if 200,000 people (Taiwan+Israel) are getting employed then it's good!". That's the mentality.

Granted India isn't the Soviet Union, so we can't prevent our citizens from going out, but when you're making G2G agreements on labour mobility, then there has to be some assurance of treatment of your workers, protection against discrimination, not being openly racist in hiring process etc. None of these were ever priorities for MEA. Did GOI make one squeak in 30 years about the abuse and death of Indian labourers in the Gulf?

The racist preference of course won't be part of any written agreement, but as you mentioned it can be practically done on the ground through selective hiring and geography based recruitment.

Even assurances against racism can't be written down, as that is almost an accusation, but it can be an unwritten understanding between the two foreign ministers and labour ministries. That understanding I can tell you has not occured, nor is it much of a priority for our MEA.

There is nothing a non North Eastern Indian can do even when discrimination is obvious, as Taiwan's immigration policies have nothing to do with Indian law and do not fall under our jurisdiction.

I don't believe in any of these soft image statistics, these are just stet padding stuff countries try to show off with no clear proof. There are many things wrong with current and future states of Britain, but what I won't rate them based on some poll of useless and false stats like hunger index, miserableness index,etc. Get some comprehensive stats with large samples and not just cherrypicked stuff. These are the kind of things they use for us. I just straight up ignore it if is not a hard fact.

This is setting an very wrong precedent. Even a normal IT company cannot do discrimination on the basis of X race needed or Y race needed. But Taiwan is asking is clearly against our Fundamental Rights of every sane countries.

Spreading cheeks is such a shit move. Taiwan makes Middle East looks like champion of Human Rights. At least they reward Productivity with Glamour and fun.
