IAF said in their press conference that have multiple ir-refutbale proofs that they shot down an F-16 but can't share all of them because of security reasons.
This article is baseless like the Lara Seligman one, that so called defence journo doesn't even know how an IR seeker based missile works. She can be seen clearly running headless on Twitter after her so called scoop.
Instead of wasting time on these articles ask your government to release radar signatures, HUD kill data etc. The only thing your DJISPR can do to support is fake acts is to quote a bullshit article from "foreign policy". Other than that your government won't provide shit. You know why?? Because they don't have shit to share.

This is the video of Abhenandan's Mig-21 when it was shot down. Notice the initial 2 clouds of smoke at the top, that's most probably the smoke left of the missile that hit his Mig 21.

Btw, this video is mislabelled as F-16 shot down in some posts (see my eralier posts). Also, most likely this video was filmed from where the Mig-21 came from, most likely from the Indian side.
how are you concluding its Mig-21?

A lot of words used but nothing really being said there. Guy probably has tetanus from his attempt to sit on the fence so deliberately. The only thing that can satisfy these people is if they had a time machine and saw the whole incident and were given a live blow by blow. Otherwise even in the face of evidence being provided the cry for more 'conclusive evidence' and thus the conjecture porn that these people are wont to engage in won't really stop.

Looks like what is happening is that gora journalists are not able to digest the strong technical rebuttals coming from indian aviation experts. even this article is not a rebuttal of any of the technical arguments written in livefist etc.. the moment they bring the indian election argument, it automatically becomes a political piece...

Hopefully by the end of this episode, western journalists realise that indian journalists and aviation experts are no pushovers when it comes to national security issues... western journalists have gotten so used to not being contradicted over last two decades in iraq, afghanistan, iran, libya etc etc...

It seems like this accident will contribute to Lockheed Martin's image issue.

---

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan’s military said on Tuesday it lost contact with one of its Lockheed Martin F-35 stealth fighters over the Pacific Ocean close to northern Japan.

Japan’s first squadron of F-35s has just become operational at the Misawa air base and the government plans to buy 87 of the stealth fighters to modernize its air defenses as China’s military power grows.

The advanced single-seat jet was flying about 135 km (84 miles) east of the air base in Aomori Prefecture at about 7:27 p.m. (1027 GMT) on Tuesday, when it disappeared from radar, the Air Self Defense Force said.

The military has launched a search for the missing aircraft and its pilot, it said in a statement.

Lockheed Martin said in a statement that it was standing by to support the Japanese Air Self Defense Force as needed.

The Pentagon said it was monitoring the situation.

Amreekis are shit scared. Saw some tweet wherein some US govt big shot saying, it's a dire situation for them, if Roosies or Cheenis find that lost aircraft, amreeka is doomed!

Just wondering, was this incident a reincarnation of Operation Diamond from roosie side to avenge their lost face?

You have to prove that this is mig 21.

So you post a video that says Mig 21 shot down and claim it came from our side?

Can you expand on your analysis why you think this is a Mig 21 in that shot and not F-16?
You have to prove that this is mig 21.

Look at this photo of the fuselage of Commander Abhenandan's Mig-21 -

What's the first thing that you'll notice?

-- It's squashed flat.

Why?

-- Because it fell vertically like a falling leaf corkscrewing to the ground. The force of the landing from a vertical fall squashed the whole fuselage flat. But because the plane fell vertically (as apposed to a shallower emergency landing angle) its nose section remained intact.

This squashed state of the Mig-21 is consistent with the way it corkscrewed on its vertical descent in these videos of the crash:

Video #1 - Taken from location most likely at the rear of the Mig-21 or at an angle from the direction where the Mig-21 came from. This could be from the Indian side or from the Pakistani side right at the border with the Indian side. This video captured the moment immediately after the Mig-21 was hit and started falling. Notice that the plane was still able travel at a steep angle before the pilot ejected. But after the ejection the Mig-21 immediately started on its vertical corkscrew descent (it completely lost lift).

Video #2 - Taken from the opposite direction deeper into Pakistani territory forward of travel of the direction of the Mig-21. This video was taken on the lower half of the fall of the Mig-21 when it was already falling vertically on corkscrew.

I do not think US gets scared that easily. This is not the first time a US technology has fallen in the hands of adversary if this is what happened. However, I will not rule out a Chinese hand in this mystery. I have heard that Chinese have been testing some sort of LASER weapon. The LASER weapon rumor could just be a hype. The cause of accident could have been simple mechanical failure. The thing that mystifies this story is that nothing was heard from the pilot before the plane disappeared.

Not enough, a satellite image or clear video is needed.

Nope, now you are making things up.

Read your "squashed" analysis again and tell me if you realise where you went wrong.

Oh well, that's okay. I did not expect you to change your mind.

Just ask yourself why is it that the IAF does not reference these videos as proof that it indeed shot down a Pakistani F-16?

---- Because these videos do not show Pakistani F-16s but Commander Abhenandan's Mig-21!

Chinese laser capbilities are overhyped. The F-35 plane probably crashed due to mechanical failure, or a manufacturing error or a design shortcoming. The plane seems to have a troubled developemental history.

Why do you think that IAF would show these third party videos to strengthen their claims?? They already showed the radar images, they also revealed the intercepted voice. Also nothing has been put forward by the pakis which explains their failed narrative, they simply quoted an article of "foreign policy" magazine.

There is zero chance that this JSDF F-35 was shot down by the Chinese because it was on a 4-plane formation flying with other F-35s. Most probably this crash is a result of a technical malfunction.

But this is not the right thread for this discussion. Sorry.

All I can say is --

Indian Radar Data That Supposedly Proves They Downed An F-16 Is Far From "Irrefutable"
https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zo...s-they-downed-an-f-16-is-far-from-irrefutable

Besides, videos always have more impact on the general public than radar screen grabs that do not show context. Just imagine a press conference by IAF showing these videos with blow-by-blow analysis on why it's the Pakistani F-16... That would be a slum dunk!

The only problem is that these videos clearly do not show an F-16. And the IAF knows it cannot fool anyone with it as these videos can easily be verified once they are plastered on TV screens worldwide by experts and by the persons themselves who took these videos.

Here's another photo of Commander Abhenandan's ill-fated Mig-21:

Notice again at how flat the fuselage has become... It looks like it's been hit by a giant hammer.

About that article, it has already been discussed on the previous posts of this thread so no point in spamming.

Regarding the video analysis, why the hell on Earth do you think that IAF will officially do an analysis of third party videos taken by un-named sources to prove their claim?? They have their own data for that.
