After retirement, Rawat had a bright political career which many feared. He had the capacity and connections to achieve a lot more than VK Singh. Just imagine, if he had been the Defense Minster after retirement at some point in the future. The Chandigarh lobby would have gone bankrupt and almost all foreign maal commission would have dried up. So there is a stake for not just the desi dalals but also the foreign arms lobby. So cant rule out anything! The whole episode just seems so unreal.

This will happen if not today, then tomorrow. That day will definitely come when a person who shares the same ideas with CDS Bipin Rawat will be assigned ministry of defense.

Not generalizing... but that region has received special treatment for too long.

That would be further cementing their supremacist behavior... Everyone Irrespective of where he comes from should be treated equally. Appeasement on various lines will lead to Breaking India.

This beauty is what we need to protect dearly. You know, I am losing hope with the Judiciary and even the police who even if they have good intentions, can't do much. I picked it up on Twitter (can't remember the handles). Several guys (presumably) were talking about 'citizen volunteer squads' who could track down the scum such as these and beat them to a pulp & let the police figure out what happened.

How viable do you think this method is? Clearly, these guys have had enough political nonsense and want to do something about it. Personally, I think since law & order is political stooge in our country, people have to do something themselves.

You can expect to see big time reforms in most spheres post 2024 if BJP wins with majority. By that time they would have a clear majority in RS too. I don't support vigilante groups cuz over a period of time they always morph into goons.

While not related to this thread but on the question of Kashmir, Stalin wanted people of Kashmir to decide without any of the big powers (USA/UK/France and USSR) playing any kind of role and plebiscite under the supervision of Indians and Pakistanis.

Stalin also said that Indian Communists should support Sheikh Abdullah and India because they were 'more acceptable to the democratic camp than the positions of the ruling class of Pakistan'. General B.C. Joshi raised Rashtriya Rifles for Counter Insurgency ops in J&K with a sanction of only 3 yrs from Narasimha Rao government... He died while in office & Indian army & Political leadership lost its way in Kashmir. General Joshi was the man who decided to go in with such a formation & surely he would have an Exit strategy in mind... he passed away... aur hum aaj tak phanse huey hain

None of his successors had an Exit strategy... rather they expanded the footprint & Indian army got bogged down in Kashmir... with no end in sight.

Now Gen Rawat was in mid of executing a restructuring & integration plan(which was proposed decades back)... he is gone too... ab aagey kya hoga?

The more I don't want to believe in conspiracy... the more newer angles come up.
