There won't be any "national security fallout" nor is there dearth of such leaders. People are just mourning the loss of such fine men and the innocent family member. Other than that, the Indian state is exactly where it was before 12.20 pm today. It's bad, but everything is far from being over

Very big loss, one of the feared men during his tenure in Kashmir. Hard times call Hardy men. Rip. Worst thing is his kids, lost both mother and father in a single day. Absolute tragedy.

Guys bad news! It's heartbreaking! CDS Bipin Rawat has passed away in an MI 17 helicopter crash today. His wife has also passed away unfortunately.

Ig he wasn't the pilot of the heli, they were a wing commander and squadron leader. He would have been accompanying CDS from Coimbatore to Wellington cause the Gp Capt's name wasn't in the initial list that flew from Delhi. The Gp Capt hold a position in DSSC

Gen. Shen Yi-ming, 62, the Taiwan military's chief of general staff, was en route to visit troops when the UH-60M helicopter disappeared from radar near New Taipei City while carrying 13 people, including the crew.

The Taiwanese UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter took off just before 8 a.m. and last made contact at 8:07 a.m., according to a defense ministry news conference. Taiwan air force commander-in-chief Hsiung Hou-chi said the helicopter went down in the hilly district of Wulai, and that the crash was caused by mechanical or environmental factors, which were yet to be clarified. Two rescue helicopters and 91 personnel were dispatched to the scene.

All the lives lost are a tragedy. One that stood out, apart from Gen Bipin Rawat, is Brig L.S Lidder, if this is the same man who appeared on TV during the early stages of the clash with China at Galwan. He reassured people that things were going well, and that there was no significant loss of territory to China. Very low key, and intelligent, both IQ and EQ.
