These jokers are just making things up now. After 100 more LCA MK1A and 6 more NETRA MK1, this same guy comes out with this?

Even this article makes no sense, the numbers are totally different to the IA+IAF breakdown before and it goes between IAF buying 156 to split order.

This guy is clearly a mouthpiece for the MoD and he’s being fed utter crap whilst the ministry sits idle
But wasnt the 100 lca confirmed by the CAS?

Where’s the AON? RFI? RFQ? CCS? CAS can say whatever he likes, these guys all make a lot of noise. Contracts are all that matter
Like the CAS said they have moved a "proposal", that means the process for AON RFI RFQ , etc is going on and will come out in due time, which by our standards so far could mean years maybe

156 LCH to be bought by IAF alone, taking total orders to 181.
30M $ for each SuperSukhoi upgrade.
Good deal.

BUT WAIT A MINUTE.

The LCA Mark1A alone is supposed to be worth over Rs 1.2 lakh crore,
senior defence officials told ANI.
WTF. 15B$ . I hope those officials were just pulling random numbers.

Training, back-end support and logistical costs considered, this is a fair deal. Remember, this will be the overall calculated cost for a rolling period.
We didn't buy bare-bones AC in 2021 too, lots of logistics and misc cost were included , yet it was priced only 70M$ with rolling inflation included.

The deal for 83 Tejas Mk1A itself was worth $6.5 billion, now factoring in inflation and the cost of procuring 100 Tejas Mk1A along with weaponry, associated logsitics, spares, etc. the deal will easily be around $8-8.5 billion.

So, $15 billion in total for 183 jets
