How does Iran plan to collect that?
By seizing Paki assets in Iran. It would probably be nowhere near $24 billion but it's still something to salvage. There will definitely be a rise in tensions if the Iranians are serious in the recovery of that money. They'd probably fund Shia militias or something like that.

Knowing Paki history though, they'll run to Sam Chacha and ask them for gibs in exchange for destabilizing Iran.

Don't think so, people overestimate Iran a lot. Funding a militia 2 borders away is one thing, fighting an unconventional warfare on one's own land is something else. Especially, with Pakis who
(1) have nothing else to do- Jernails will burn down Pakistan over and again for monies. Jernails follow a scorched earth policy both in winning and losing
(2) have complete backing of the US and Israel to infiltrate Iran with a thousand "kafir" Shia targeting jihadi groups

What is the purpose for the Iranian President to visit Pakistan, a country that is completely broke?
  • Iran an ally of China, is sending a message to somebody: US, Saudi?
  • The Iranian President did not mention directly Kashmir in todays press communication. First Saudis refused to mention Kashmir recently. Should we attach any significance to it?
  • Is he trying to convince Pakis to restrain from executing US orders to cause mayhem inside Iran? Iranians are spread very thin with multiple fronts open.
  • Is he trying to arrange a "technology transfer" of any Pakistani nukes or missiles?

To discuss redlines . Paxtan is in no position to execute anything apart from pin pricks . If it tries anything more than that Iran has much more leverage inside of Paxtan than vice versa. Paxtan can't handle another external and / or internal front.

You could make that point about the Mullah regime in Iran too except that instead of money they are doing pretty much everything they can to pacify their civilians by bringing in a foreign boogeyman. Iranian government invested a lot of money in building a pipeline and all related infrastructure for a much-discussed project with Pakistan. That money didn't grow on trees, it came from the taxpayers' pocket. Despite all that hue and cry, Paki bastards then get strong-armed into abandoning the project. This honestly would annoy educated Iranians far more than some religious war with a people that the founder of their country (Cyrus the Great) had fond ties to and had no personal beef against.

A narrative of having been surrounded by American satellites on all fronts would be employed by the regime to tighten their grip on the country, for sure.

Regarding the funding of Shia militias, Iran already has a decent footprint in Pakistan. The organization, 'Zainebiyoun Brigade' is a proxy of Iran which it uses to recruit Paki Shias to fight in Syria. They can very well just divert some of their manpower to cause religious tensions in Pakistan itself given that just a few months ago Sunni-Shia tensions were threatening to boil over in PoK.

Possible. If the main agenda of the trip was to warn and threaten Pakis, I would think they would send the defense minister or army chief or the intelligence chief.

This visit would also in all probability be to discuss the oil pipeline to nowhere. Not that anything would come out of it. Fauji Foundation earns quite a pile from smuggling oil into Paxtan. A pipeline would end that . However if a pipeline is built it also ends up inviting US sanctions. 2 incentives for Fauji Foundation not to build the pipeline.

Moreover the real reason the pipeline was conceived was to extend it to India. Since India after eventually evincing interest initially , didn't go ahead , the thinking among inbreds was they'd complete the pipeline , begin trading in oil & then entice India into it by demonstrating they'd already constructed the pipeline & all that was needed was extension into India.

Probably that's part of the reason Paxtani politicians are sending feelers across to New Delhi emphasising Paxtan's ready for trade. A few assumptions there on my behalf to be taken with a pinch of salt.

However , as of the present , if Iran presses with its claims on Paxtan in international arbitration courts it risks angering Fauji Foundation. Besides Paxtan can always turn around & tell the Iran they're broke assuming the international arbitration goes against it which isn't a certainty. Furthermore Iran can't enforce its claims by seizing Paxtan assets overseas as they won't receive the co operation of the countries there.

Constant over reaching , over estimation of one's own self & capabilities , wrong prioritisation , constantly indulging in brinkmanship , living beyond their means & on the edge , etc can be used to describe both parties here .In summation it's great fun to see the brotherhood of inbreds.

Makes me depressed thinking this guy once had Hindu ancestors and we share same dna
Those bloodlines were long ruined when they started bedding their sisters over generations. Add consumption over the very same period of time of lots of Siri paaye & beeph to it cooked in their own fat & you'd know why their intellect already diminished thru centuries of in breeding has now become further addled .
