You can decide that "holding back women" is awful and be all for for "female empowerment".

Not using half of your manpower since you believe an educated women is harmful to society, played a great role in why east Asia and not Indian subcontinent took income levels at par with east Europe.

Birth rates are going to remain low regardless of female education unless you are from a Tribal/nomadic state in middleast or Africa. Degeneracy's penetration will depend upon SM and how people see their own society.
Not normalizing working females though will 100% ensure that India remains a dirt poor country when era of economic growth ends and decline begins.
