Another big LOL
Rafale shorter of 10cm but engine shorter of nearly 2m !!! (M88 : 3538cm, F135 : 5590cm).
And?. The F-135 is long so that it can hide the exhaust plumes better. Or do you somehow believe that the plumes start where the nozzle end???? lol

And the length of Rafale is from the nose cone to the end : engine, when F35 length of F35 is from the nose cone to... the fin ! The frame of F35 is in the 14.5m.
No, actually the length of Rafale is from the nose to the end of vertical tail
and yes, while the length of F-35 is from the nose to the end of its horizontal tails, the horizontal and vertical tail of F-35 actually help it hide the nozzle and exhaust plume.
As anyone can easily see in this photo.

For the thicker body, I agree. Is is so thick that with full dry thrust it can't supercruise (12.5 tons !)
Repeat the wrong information several times doesn't make it right.

No, the nozzle is not fully masked. Specially from the bottom.
The nozzle of F-35 won't be masked if you viewed from behind, but Rafale nozzle is exposed from most angle

really? your best argument is an F-35 in full afterburner and viewed from behind?

I already point out you stupidity in the previous post, i don't get why you still don't get it.
Let me spell it out again.
It is retarded to use a photo of an aircraft in full afterburner to argue that the same aircraft will have big IR signature in cruise condition, get that through you head
i even gave you an example how the Rafale would look with afterburner from frontal aspect, even in broad daylight, not at night. How hard is it to understand that full afterburner will generate significant IR signature in any aircraft?

Edwards Air Force Base begins testing Auto GCAS (Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System) on Lockheed Martin

The most interesting part of this news article is this:

This technology is the stepping stone to increased combat capability via a fully capable combat autopilot that will be able to execute tactical manoeuvres to defeat inbound kinetic and non-kinetic threats, and maximise lethality through precise weapon employment,” says LeClair. “The future F-35 pilot is going to be a lethal “The future F-35 pilot is going to be a lethal battlefield manager with automated tools at his fingertips to ensure survivability and lethality.” with automated tools at his fingertips to ensure survivability and lethality.”

F-35A in Canadian International Air Show 2018

Now I have no doubt that the Canadian fighter tender is in F-35's bag.

F-35 in Belgium: five "little" lies between "friends"

According to a thorough investigation by the Flemish weekly Knack published on October 8, Belgium has always wanted to acquire the Lockheed Martin F-35. Especially since the Belgians promised in 2013 to NATO to buy stealth aircraft. The challenge for Brussels and the Belgian military was to justify irrefutably this purchase by an official and unassailable procedure. They launched an international tender and slid criteria subtle (missions Suppression of enemy defenses or SEAD) to favor Lockheed Martin.

1 / Belgium has promised NATO to buy stealth aircraft five years ago...

2 / Brussels wants stealthy planes but does not write it

3 / Sky police: the F-35 ineffective

4 / A "stealthy" nuclear mission

5 / Suspense on the real price

The cost of the investment for 34 F-35A in block 4 finally amounts to 3.8 billion euros (in current euros). Payments will be made over a period of more than 12 years. To compensate for changes in exchange rates, an additional provision of 5% is planned. This brings the investment cost to 4.011 billion (in current euros). That's more than half a billion less than the strategic vision for defense, says former Defense Minister Steven Vandeput. However, in January, the US State Department, which decided to approve the sale of 34 F-35s to Belgium, estimated the cost of the operation at $ 6.53 billion.

=> The Belgium tax payers will have a 50% increase bill....

So what you're saying is that even though France was essentially already giving away for free Rafale to Belgium it still got rejected in favor of stealthy F-35? Damn that must been a revelation for Dassault and France to realize that their prized Rafale is in truth already too old and insignificant against the F-35 that even if given away for free countries it still gets rejected in favor of the latter! That must hurt man! No wonder Dassault and France are racing back to the drawing board to design a true 5th gen fighter!

You see this is what I have been saying all along, when you continually dream of a castle in the sky sooner or later you'll start believing that you're already living in your castle in the sky. In the case of Rafale decades of stratospheric pro-Rafale pro-Eurocanard and disingenous anti F-35 propaganda has convinced even its originators that its true, only to be slapped in the face by countries like Belgium that it's not.

But I'm sorry to tell you that like Rafale this so called Next Gen European Fighter is again late to the game. The F-35 is already sucking all the future fighter oxygen orders! It looks like this next plane will be again an exercise in futility that will produce a very expensive aircraft whose capabilities wil be no different than what's already in service in major air forces. Sounds familiar already, right?

Let's enjoy more of that real air power exercise conducted by USAF with 36 (not 35 as reported) of its new F-35s:

They used to say that quantity has a quality on its own. But the F-35 has both quantity and quality making it the true master of the 21st century skies.

Imagine almost 4,000 networked sensors and stealthy attack platforms scattered all over the World linked with themselves, with other air, land , sea and space assets and simultaneously sharing data. And these already overwhelming number of almost 4,000 F-35s is further bolstered by its ability to cooperatively control and direct drones and target other weapons from the air, land and sea. Not to mention that these almost 4,000 F-35s has some of the if not the most advanced EW suites. Now, that's a game changer.

All that drivel while all I can read is butthurt, virtually a freebir Rafale was thrown away for a real 5th gen fighter.
