That F-35 elephant walk seems to be symbolic since there were 52 F-35s there which seems to correspond to Trump's bluster to hit 52 Iranian sites including eyebrow-raising cultural sites.
Not really, its just usaf symbolizing that it has moved back to 24+2 squadron from the reduced 16+2 that it was sustaining over the last 2 decades.
What you are seeing are 2 squadrons of 388th wing that has a total of 78(72+6) aircraft.

Love how you are so desperately trying to create the furthest year number for F-35 FOC.
On a french forum, a retired high level aeronautic ingineer (he worked for Dassault, Airbus, Astrium, ESA...) explained, with all the F35 delays, that FOC will be inked in 2031.... at best.
Politically an intermediate FOC0 phase will be released before... but technically and operationally....

I dont think people have noticed the gravity of this decision.
This will jack up the number of fighters in usaf by about 45% !
Usaf has 40 sq of F16 and 10 sq of F15C, which means when replaced by F35, the total aircraft number in these squadrons will move from 900 to 1300!
Helps you understand where those 1763 of intended F35a for usaf are going to go.

I don't agree.
1) A follow on fighter for F35 is already on the drawing board. That means that even in the case of an increase of the planes in squad, all will not be covered by F35.
2) ALL the west country are reducing their fleet. Because each bird cost more and more, and because each bird is more potent than earlier models. I doubt US, with such a debt, could increase so much its fleet.

LRIP 1-14 have been sealed with a total of 979 aircraft.
LRIP 1-11 = 501(will deliver last jet this month)
LRIP 12-14 = 478 (signed this year)

US services will get 736 aircraft out of these with USAF having a total of 550+ F35 within next 3 years.

Another long lead orders for 220 jets have been funded as well.
So, there are 500 aircraft already flying (491 by 2019) and 700 more funded as of now.
This year's production target is 160.

Oh yeah sure, the internet where every single armchair general work for aviation and defense companies.
We have been over this before, for a self claimed expert, he made too many basics technical mistakes for anyone to consider him legit.

I don't think so. It will be a clear signal to Ankara to purchase Su57 instead of Su35
To Americans Erdogan is already 90% lost. Lockheed Martin already assembled 100% the indudtrial contribution of Turkey.

And st#pid Turkish are still dreaming of getting F-35s... Their next best option is Rafale for Americans will not sell them anything cutting edge. Or if Erdogan goes full crazy he can opt for Su-35 (Turkish AF does not like Su-57).

Greece has always paid high attention to its armed forces.
For a country of only 10 million, they have
250+ fighter aircraft (160 F16, 50 M2k, 40F4),
2000 tanks,
11 subs, 11 frigates!!
A few F35 won't break the bank.
That may very well be a reason why they are in such a financial mess. Much like our dear neighbor porkistan . Anyway good luck to them .

No, they are in it due to combined pressure from Eurozone and them not having prepared to be in a shared currency scenario.

What is it with Indians?
Why do you need to always compare everyone to Pakistan?
Root of Greek crisis lies in financial mismanagement more expense less revenue.
Defense expenditure is part of that mismanagement.

It's similar case to porkistan . The comment about being top warrior was just too much similarity. Porki have same delusion of being warriors . They too maintain huge army and air force despite being hand in bowl beggers.
