Good luck with Kaveri and your 110kN engines!

Kaveri is equivalent of the WS-13. Uprated WS-13E will most likely be the interim engine for J-35. WS-13 was tested on FC-1 and J-17.

WS-19 is China's 110kN engine and will be the ultimate engine on J-35.

So Kaveri/Indian 110kN engines for Indian 5th gen fighter and WS-13E/WS-19 for J-35 would be a lot fun for us to watch together in coming years!
Fun for u
Not for us as we all dfians know that our project will never make it thanks to our most efficient bureaucracy

China doesn't produce even a good car engine. I don’t know how would China mske a better engine with stolen technologies from Russia whrn Russai itself doesn't make a good engine.

I won't speak about their car engine as they have gained experience and mastered manufacturing
But when it comes to jet engine then it can't be good as western standard and not even Russian as they are very new to this and also most of it based on Russian engines
But due course of time like in 10-15 years they could get it very near to Russian standard as they have a large order book and experience inches towards perfection
But these qualities and other shit doesn't matter for a Communist nation where their objective is bigger than anything

They have bog objective without matching capabilities. Their theory of winning war with propaganda is backfiting. Their mischief in Himalayas has back fired. Now, Indoa has started arm8ng Chinese enemies with lethal weapons. Philippines has now got Brahmos and Vietnam is next. Chinese warships mow will be at the mervy of Philippines navy. Akash NG and MRSAM could be the next. China's aura is fading up. Xi has done a great mistake by messing with Modi.

Good for you. But you know that the US had been arming China's neighbors for years and years and years and China trades with all of them and has far more exchanges with them than even the US and of course way more than India ;)

China grew by not going to war for 40 years. Vietnam and the Philippines plus Japan, South Korea and all of the nations of East and Southeast Asia are part of RCEP with China so everyone can grow rich together why would they go to war now :)

What's the current state of WS-19? When is it expected and what are it's dimensions?
It was ground tested. The first picture of the engine and its team came out in 2019. (Okay engine was blurred out.)

The outlook projection of a major Chinese materials firm in their stock exchange prospectus expects five WS-19s every year between 2020 and 2026:

The WS-19 is now tightly coupled with the J-35 (nothing is official but this is close enough):

Just like J-20 with the WS-10C waiting for WS-15, the J-35 will likely have the WS-13E for its initial batches while the WS-19 matures.

WS-13 had been tested on both FC-1 and JF-17.

These are the dimensions and specs of the base WS-13 and the RD-33. The WS-13E would have a 90kN thrust compared to the WS-13 base model.

The WS-19's dimensions should be similar. China's ability to quickly swap between AL-31 and WS-10 for the J-10 and J-20 points to designs that can incorporate multiple engines of the same class.

China has grown. No doubt about it but ex Chinese presidents were not hawkish and weak like Xi. In that phase of period, China grew by using cheap lanors. With economic prosperity, that advantage has gone. The next stage of development is the development in high technology area. China can manage it by stealing or copying. However, when original is available, who will go for copy which is too much substandard.

The WS-19's dimensions should be similar.

it seems to be aimed at F414 level of performance, 9800kgf is about 96kN. The 414enhanced meanwhile promises 116kN afterburning thrust in ~4m length- that's the dream spec India hopes to achieve in a decade with foreign help.

Are there any Chinese engines pursuing adaptive cycle tech which can alter their bypass ratio mid-flight depending on whether they need to prioritize range or acceleration at any moment?

Other than 6th Gen discussion, there has been not a lot on adaptive cycle. And there is a lot of engine news because of so many programs. Maybe in a few years when we hear more of the 6th Gen designs.

Right now, it is the WS- series all day and all night :)

Most publications and observers have the WS-19 at 110kN. But we shall see.

These are the common figures on the most followed Chinese fighter engine programs (all are named after mountains in China):

WS-13E
Taishan
100 kN (22,000 lbf)FC-31Upgraded version of WS-13. Currently used as interim powerplant for FC-31fighters.
WS-15 Emei181.37 kN (40,770 lbf)[5]Chengdu J-20Described by Russian sources as the "18-ton" thrust, T/W: 9-10 project.[6]Under development for use by Chengdu J-20.
WS-17
Minshan
39–49 kN (8,800–11,000 lbf)Hongdu L-15Medium Thrust-Turbofan
WS-19
Huangshan
110 kN (25,000 lbf)JF-17, FC-3112 ton thrust. Under development for use by JF-17/FC-31

New US destroyer design looks a lot like China’s Type 055

Chinese weapon industry is growing much faster than your thoughts, even than mine.
Just look at J20 thread of this forum, when it appeared 11 yrs ago, not only Indian even Chinese members there were shocked.

Now the J20 is operational, how about Indian counterpart? LCA-b LCA-c LCA-d ... LCA-z?

Most of China's homegrown cars use domestic engines,

and the country exported two million cars last year, the vast majority of them from domestic brands

just see this shit and you will come to know what is going on:bplease::bplease:

Fu Bingfeng, executive vice President and secretary General of China Automobile Association, stressed that in 2021, China's automobile exports exceeded 2 million for the first time, breaking the situation of hovering around 1 million for many years. China's automobile globalization has entered a new stage and presented four highlights:

First, the export of Chinese brand cars has achieved rapid growth. Data show that in 2021, 9 of the TOP 10 Chinese auto brands have achieved rapid growth, with 4 of them growing by more than 100%.

Second, passenger cars and commercial vehicles have achieved rapid export growth. Among them, the growth rate of passenger vehicles reached 1.1 times, and SUVs dominated, indicating that Chinese brand SUVs have international competitive advantages. Commercial vehicle exports are up 70 per cent;

Third, the export of new energy vehicles exploded. In 2021, the export of new energy vehicles reached 310,000 units, a threefold increase year-on-year, surpassing the total export volume of the past few years. Among them, Europe has become the main incremental market for the export of new energy vehicles, and China's export of new energy vehicles to Belgium, France and other automotive developed countries reflects a certain competitive advantage;

Fourth, Breakthroughs have been made in the overseas development of Chinese brands. Saic, Geely and other projects to build factories in overseas accelerated and directly took root overseas, laying a solid foundation for the future overseas development of Chinese brands.

"The global economy is recovering, auto consumption is recovering; Advantages gained by Chinese auto brands in the transformation of new energy vehicles; Europe and the United States have increased the promotion of new energy vehicles and other factors, as China's auto export growth new momentum." Fu bingfeng said. China auto Industry Association forecast that China's auto exports will usher in a period of rapid growth, with auto exports expected to increase by about 22% in 2022.
