you have to be unbias, China has progressed however the posters are most of the time Chinese living in the west, many times lack knowledge and want to boast.Yes that's exactly why it is hard to trust anything on this thread. Chinese dudes keep claiming progress based on speculative photographs, but there is nothing official about it at all, ever. No statement from the government as if they are ashamed or hiding something.
Tweet has disappeared! Does that imply same fate for CJ1000A??
India I can assure will develop an aircraft jet engine industry, same China, that is normal, however you have to be realistic, jet engines are a business and require lots of research and development, that is the reason you have Rolls Royce engines with suppliers from many parts and same is many other manufacturers.
see
- GEnx-2B engines installed with additive manufactured PDOS brackets to be shipped from January 2019
- Cobalt-chrome alloy brackets to be mass produced in Auburn, Alabama starting this month on GE Additive's Concept Laser M2 Multilaser machines
- Design-to-production achieved in under 10 months
- 10% weight reduction and 90% waste reduction achieved, compared to conventional manufacturing methods. Product costs significantly reduced by taking process in-house
“It’s been outstanding to watch teams from GE Aviation, GE Additive across the US, Mexico and Germany collaborate. In such a short space of time, they have really excelled with the PDOS bracket and achieved a truly groundbreaking success.
In general progress is all over the globe
Mexican scientists are also working on GEnx-2b
However international collaboration is done for one main reason, risks partners, see the GEnx-2b has even providers from South Korea, Germany MTU, Sweden volvo aero, Japan IHI, Snecma France..
It is very unlikely China will compete with the West in Jet engines unless more cordial, honest and less predatory policies are followed by China, even Russia is not going to pass tech for the Chinese-Russian airliner for the jet engine PD-35.
Y-20 is a military jet, it has less need for a reliable engine, they still use western engine for their C919, most what you see is CCP propaganda with our propagandists in Chief living in the USA but cheering China.
Will China succeed, yes, but they will need to collaborate, their current policy will fail.
