Secondly, BAF 31st Tigers based at Kliene Brogel have a nuke attack role currently played by the F-16. The only aircraft suited to carry the B-61 A12 bomb in the near future is the F-35. Rafale doesn't carry this weapon and therefore cannot meet the need. The US won't allow this weapon to be carried on the Rafale or EF. Since, the process will be delayed, the cost of the F-35 will even be lower when the deal is finally struck.
