No idea. But it would take time. Atleast 5+ years IMO for certifying flight rated Kaveri. If it happens sooner, I'd be pleasantly pleased.

That was the plan did they change it? Ghatak was supposed to fly with GE f404 reported by Alpha defence last year so what happened?

No clue. Logically it does have a role to play but we haven't seen any indications of it being more than a TD as of now. Perhaps in the next 2-3 years on successful completion of trials , it'd be designated as a project for which the usual SOP of CCS sanction & production will follow.
