17km is not altitude here. Its the distance.17km ? is it enough for a male/hale though ?

Lasers need more and more power as you increase the range due to dispersion... Not sure how far the range can be feasibly extendedno i meant the hale can drop glide bombs easily from 17km away if thats altitude which is mentioned then its okay
As I mentioned.tactics evolve as per threat perception, it's par for the course.
what's happening now is that folks who were born during murica's unipolar moment are having a reality check. defence enthusiasts who have seen berlin wall fall on TV, will be more aware of murican warfare in contested spaces, so not a surprise as such.
@Chinmoy
so what happens now to murican war tech that's dependent on GPS? what do they have in pipeline to overcome this?
edit :"The court sentenced Agarwal to life imprisonment and RI for 14 years under the Official Secrets Act and fined him ₹3,000," said Special Public Prosecutor Jyoti Vajani.Nishant Agarwal was a winner of the Young Scientists award by the Defence Research and Development Organisation and hence his involvement in such an activity shocked his colleagues. He was known as a bright engineer, studied at the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.
Its under fabrication for long.Ya'll nibbiars we have heard of ghatak parts are being Fabricated. I have e even heard almost all parts are developed.
Just waiting for funding.
@Chinmoy m i right. If yes when will be funds released.
So even if things are going well in ghatak it will have to wait. Anyways how long it will take for certification ?Its under fabrication for long.
Funds will be allocated only after Kaveri enters certification.
What a waste of life, looks young. Could have had abright future, had to fall for a isi khatoon. Sad.

No idea. But it would take time. Atleast 5+ years IMO for certifying flight rated Kaveri. If it happens sooner, I'd be pleasantly pleased. So even if things are going well in ghatak it will have to wait. Anyways how long it will take for certification ?

And if supposedly engine was ready then ghatak would have took around 2 years for FF. RIGHT. They should do initials testing with f404.No idea. But it would take time. Atleast 5+ years IMO for certifying flight rated Kaveri. If it happens sooner, I'd be pleasantly pleased.
That was the plan did they change it? Ghatak was supposed to fly with GE f404 reported by Alpha defence last year so what happened? And if supposedly engine was ready then ghatak would have took around 2 years for FF. RIGHT. They should do initials testing with f404.
May be the case as prototypes never fly with new or engines which are under development. That was the plan did they change it? Ghatak was supposed to fly with GE f404 reported by Alpha defence last year so what happened?
SWiFT will be tested on various data points for another 2-3 years by which time the dry version of the Kaveri TF is expected to be ready & certified for going into the Ghatak. And if supposedly engine was ready then ghatak would have took around 2 years for FF. Yes so it should fly before Kaveri is certified if not then that's just wasting timeMay be the case as prototypes never fly with new or engines which are under development.
Add Swift to get inducted by 2028 tooSWiFT will be tested on various data points for another 2-3 years by which time the dry version of the Kaveri TF is expected to be ready & certified for going into the Ghatak.
In the meanwhile you need to complete the CDR of the Ghatak & approach the CCS for project approval & sanctioning of funds.
All this is expected to be completed by 2030 post which you can expect flight trials of the Ghatak to commence.
what would be the role of swift though purely isr or maybe some amount of droppable payload too and what powers that thing thats a question too (ptae-7 ?)Add Swift to get inducted by 2028 too
No clue. Logically it does have a role to play but we haven't seen any indications of it being more than a TD as of now. Perhaps in the next 2-3 years on successful completion of trials , it'd be designated as a project for which the usual SOP of CCS sanction & production will follow.Add Swift to get inducted by 2028 too
