Ridiculous, I think I have been following this project from 2010 if I am not wrong, still they are setting a future date.

I am new to whole defence thing so im ok but can't imagine the pain of guys who have been following the project for so long this is just ridiculous

They are shush on the numbers ordered but that make sense.

I think last year around 27 were ordered. This time they might have repeated the same numbers. One source was quoting 45 for IA and 27 for UNPKO but I doubt if these are the actual numbers.

From my observation, IA has divided the vehicles in 3 categories:

QRFV-Light = Mahindra ASLV (1300 ordered, not sure if any delivered or not)
QRFV-Medium = Tata QRFV (24* in-service, not sure how many ordered)
QRFV-Heavy = Bharat Forge M4 (09* in service, not sure how many ordered)

After this, comes new RFIs which ask for:
1. 800 LAMV
2. 1200 Protected Mobility Vehicle - 500 High Altitude + 700 Standard

Both of these categories are also mentioned in 4th indigenization list.

Lora might be same class as pralaya with respect to range . Lora wiki says 400km range while pralaya says 500km . Pralaya is heavier than lora . 5.5 tons vs 1.8 tons (wiki) . And pralaya has marv (as per wiki ) in its 3rd stage to defeat air defence .

General even if anecdotal probability of successful interception are out there for most AD from manpads to S-400 and patriots. My guess says, 0.5 km interception for AD positioned as LR won't be that high. Agree with you that such info will be classified in terms of accuracy
