Is this the sequel to Kaveri engine?
Regardless good to see they're still working on gas turbines.

This project is by HAL using its own funds, not by DRDO labs like GTRE. Though some components which may have been developed for Kaveri and have shown acceptable performance may be used in this too.

Anyone has info about cable management from hull to rotating turret? Slip rings don't seem to be a very robust solution. How does tank turrets go round and round without getting their innards twisted in a knot?

These blades themselves are an evolution of the Kaveri Project, naturally it implies that DRDO has made it, hence it is obvious that some components have come from DRDO and are being used by HAL so as to not duplicate efforts and waste time in making components which are already there.

DRDO can’t do it on their own, a multi disciplinary study or committee with all branches of security (internal and external) needs to be setup and give a list of things for DRDO to work on. not just DRDO, there will be a lot of scope for private sector as well.

there is a limit to what engineers can think of, on their own.

and this committee should keep giving inputs periodically, because threats are always evolving.
